AquaDuck lines are generally much shorter at dinner times and port days. I'd say more like 20-30 minutes were the longest they were on our cruises. Generally less.

We got to the theatre about 20-25 minutes before the show, and always found good seating.

Movies - depends on the movie. Some were packed by the time the show started, others, not so much.

Disney does PremEARs at Sea for new releases. Usually at midnight the day of opening. And then, if there's still time additional showings during the remaining time on the cruise.

We experienced anything from riding 7 times back to back in a row on embarkation and pirate night post fireworks, to seeing it at 75 mins and massive long.

Look at the times in the navigator and be smart, go on opening, go when people are eating. Go when your in port .

14 nights packed every night, DCL signature shows the worst, get there at opening time its 75% full in five minutes.

Depends on many things the time of day, the Film out some time/ new/ how many showings can be packed but can be empty. If the film releases during your cruise you get it at 00.01 on that cruise.

AquaDuck lines are the worst on sea days and embarkation day. Port days will have the shortest lines. I don't recall ever seeing it at Space Mountain waits, but at the peak it can be 30 minutes.

I'd get to the theater early. Depending on the number of people in your party, it may or may not be troublesome to find seats. A larger party will need to get there earlier to ensure all your seats are together, but don't be the large group that sends 2 people to end guard a row for the rest of party that arrives 2 minutes before curtain and takes forever to get settled and starts calling the wait staff over to get their drink orders as the show is starting. No one likes those people... Just sayin'...

Movies are hard to gauge. On a rainy day, the theater will be pretty full. Other times there may be a scattered crowd. PremEARs can be crazy. Really big movie PremEARs could get bumped to the main theater, not the movie theater. Subsequent showings will be in the movie theater, but the PremEAR could be in the main theater.

The fantasy is an amazing ship, if you have any adult time, I highly recommend a trip to Satellite Falls especially early in the morning. I spend every morning up there drinking my coffee and either meditating or doing yoga. Perfect start to the day. Have a terrific time and be sure to book another cruise while on board. If you book non concierge your deposit is refundable.

Shmoo, would you mind describing the ambience in a "packed" popular movie? Are the movies loud enough that you're able to be immersed in the film, or are things pretty chaotic / noisy / loud audience members?

(I just got back from an Avengers viewing (not on board of course) that involved toddlers, babies, someone rattling what seemed like a party sized bag of Doritos through the whole movie, and lots of people rocking/creaking their chairs. They also had the volume too low, and that didn't help, esp. since this particular Avengers film has a lot of quieter scenes.)

Well, most recently we were on the Fantasy & Dream. The BVT there is much larger (and, frankly, more "movie theatre" feeling) than the BVT on the classic ships. The only movie we saw that was packed was Frozen. However, since it was a last minute change (it wasn't originally scheduled) there seemed to be a lot of adults and not so many kids as I expected to be there. Frozen (sing-along version) had already had a scheduled showing earlier in the cruise, so I think a lot of kids were there. That being said, there were a few kids who did start to sing along at the beginning of our show, but it didn't last long. Don't know if the adults with them (hope there were anyway) silenced them.

I'd say it wasn't chaotic or noisy. Although, unfortunately, a mom and her daughter came in just before the movie started and there were 2 empty seats next to us. We were in the front row of the upper section with a little wall in front of us. The daughter proceeded to bring out her little toys and play with them on top of the wall and on the floor (not really loudly, but enough that it was a bit distracting). In the middle of the show mom & daughter climbed over the wall and left. But, they came back a while later (now with a big bucket of popcorn). And, yes, the popcorn wound up mostly on the floor all around the daughter.

Welcome, you are going to have a great time. We are sailing on this cruise along with some family members. It is our 13 DCL trip but the first on the Fantasy so after this cruise we will have sailed all 4 ships which is sometimes referred to as a grand slam!
