Long story, but I may end up booking on the Wonder. Right now the only available room, at the rate I want, is on the first deck. I'm hearing mixed reviews. Is it really that bad?

We have booked a room on deck one in March for the same reason. I actually started a thread asking about deck one a few months ago. The only negative feedback I can remember getting was that its far away from the activities and you have to use the elevator to ride up and down all those decks. That was not a negative to us. I don't want to sleep near all the action. We are looking forward to less traffic in the hallways. When we go to our room we want to rest and relax.
I just went through this, only it was the Magic we are doing deck 1 on, and frankly I am excited about 2 small portholes, less foot traffic and empty elevators when we go up.
We were just on deck 1 on the Magic and we loved every second of it! It was nice and very very quiet down there. We were by the little door close to the forward elevators and we used those a lot, there was hardly ever anyone on them. We would stay on deck 1 again and be happy with it!
