First Day of School

I know for a few here, their bairns have just started school. Today my eldest started.
I took a picture of her in her new uniform, looking all grown up :-(

Im now just sat worrying how she is getting on.

3 of mine went back today so its just me and baby It is very quiet without them.

She looks very smart in her uniform, I hope she had a lovely day. Our DD started today too, she hasn't stopped talking about it all day and keeps pretending she is her new teacher bossing all the dolls about. I felt very sad seeing her in her uniform, It made me think shes not a baby anymore. (she will always be my baby )

It is nice to see them all smart in the uniform. DS started P1 and joins his sister who is in P4.
Only problem is when they come home and say Miss Brown says and Miss Browns says this

Well, she seems to have enjoyed herself, and there wasnt the dreaded "I dont want to go back" type of attitude that I was expecting.
She doesnt seem to have made any specific friends yet, or at least she cant remember anyones names, but its really quite early for that. There was one girl from her pre-school there, that she sat next to, but its not someone she really played with from there, so Im not sure if that will last. I just told her the best thing she can do is try to be friends with everyone.
She did manage to get some paint or a pen mark or something on her shirt already though !

Her nan phoned up last night from a payphone in Belz mall to see how she did. Aparantly it was raining constantly yesterday so they abandoned Sea World and went shopping instead.

Today, my youngest starts pre-school, which initialy will be 2 afternoons a week.......the house is going to seem very empty and weird this afternoon.

This thread brought a big smile to my face. How lovely all the girls look. I always took my two DD's photos on the first day of the new school year, for some reason they have refused this year - maybe being 16 and 14 has got something to do with it. Enjoy them being little the time whizzes by.

I know what you mean Jan, my two DD's (age 14 & 12) went back to school today, and it really doesn't seem that long ago that they were at Infant School. The house seems really quiet without them, but I've done some shopping and watched MY programmes today and I haven't done that for a while
