First Day of School Traditions...

We start school Aug. 12th.. but I'm willing to drink w/ everyone else as they send their kids off to school!!!

We have to stay in school until June 5th instead of getting out in May.

First day of regular school is Sept. 2nd for us.

Heck, I'm having a drink because book rental for this child only cost me 103.00!!! book rental for DS7 will cost 103... now up for dd....

our 1st day of school is aug 27 -which is pretty darn soon and our last day is june 19th. unless there are white stuff flying from the sky days to make up.
we do have 2 complete weeks off at christmas this year so that's nice.

no traditions here yet. last year we did the getting on the bus pic and on the last day i took him getting off the bus pic. i'd love to scrap them together.

Perhaps we should all get our kids on the bus, come on line and have margaritas.. it really doesn't matter the time, does it?

How many different first day of schools do we have? I think I'd have to buy the BIG bottle.

We started August 25th. Looks like we will be drinking for a few weeks!

Our traditions aren't terribly exciting. DD gets her choice of breakfast and she usually wants Monkey Bread. There is the first day of school picture at home and then I take one in front of her school. There is a bench that she can stand on that has the school's name behind it- so each year we can see how much she has grown. We ALL walk her to school (we live 4 blocks away) and tell her goodbye.

I like the idea of cookies on the first day.
