First Cruise

Hello! I am going on the Wonder in May as part of my honeymoon. We have never been on a cruise and I have a couple questions.

First, is the Romance Escape at Sea pacakge worth it? I cannot decided since this will be my first cruise and first massage whether I want the package or have a massage at Castaway Cay. Also, since we will only be going for 3 nights, is Palo's a must? I am leaning that way!

Second, is the ESPN club gone from the Wonder already or is it going to be gone in October?

I can't help you with the Romance Escape package. I think the Wonder will still have ESPN until October.

I believe strongly that you should eat at Palo's. We loved it! I don't know what the rotation is on the 3 night ... we were on the 4 night and chose Palo's on the Parrot Cay night. Our favorite restaurant was Palo's, then Lumiere's, then Tritons.

Congratulations! This will be our second cruise -- actually the 3rd for me because I was an accidental "stowaway" once many years ago!

I would say that Palo is a must for a set of honeymooners. It makes for a MUCH more romantic dining experience than the regular reasturants. Id' might even suggest Palo for every night of your cruise. That would really make it a special cruise for the two of you. Of course if you like to socialize, then by all means, only do Palo for one night. If you do Palo for only one night, then I would suggest that you eat at your assigned reasturant the first nigth (get to know your table mates), then eat at Palo on what ever night you are NOT assigned to Animator's Palate.

As for the "Romance Escape at Sea pacakge", I don't have any personal experience with it, but I seem to recall when ever I looked at what you got vs. what it cost vs. what I WANT, it just didn't seem worth it. I'd suggest just going for the massage at Castaway Cay. If you're a morning person, I'd suggest trying to get the very first reservation of the day at Castaway Cay. Then you'll be very relaxed for the rest of the day at Castaway Cay. I can still remember the first time my wife and I did the cabana massages. It was also the first time we brought snorkelling gear with us to CC. We didn't have flippers at the time, so it was alot more work swimming around seeing everything. But after getting that morning massage, we were able to snorkel for the rest of the day (both snorkel lagoon and off the adult beach) without ever feeling sore.

HooKooDooKu - I love your idea of getting the first massage on CC. I am a morning person so that will be so nice!
