First contract, closed today!!

We took the jump! We are DVC members! After 3 Disney trips, much deliberation, tons of research, a contract taken in ROFR, a mishap in the end on another contract, we purchased resale at AKL. We are super excited! The littles are ages 2 and 4. I am so thankful for the opportunity to make Disney memories for many years to come.

I’ll be anxiously awaiting my welcome home email, and then I’ll be chatting to ask for points to be loaded. Any tips on those steps? Any tips for booking the first trip as a DVC member?

Thank you guys for all of your advice and helpful answers over the last few months. You are an amazing community with so much Disney knowledge.

Congratulations! We just bought our first contract and we are supposed to close in early December. We bought resale at Poly and cannot wait for the points so we can book our first trip. We are a little ahead of you; our littles are 7, 5, and 2. Hope you love AK. If I get my way, I want to spend two nights in a 2BR SV at AK during our trip.

Thanks! We signed the closing docs this past Wednesday. We just have to wire the funds and wait for the closing. Glad to hear the SV is serene. I think my boys would love to have a zoo outside their balcony.
