Okay so now that I am kinda sorta settle on the idea of having an Escape Wedding for the elusive October 10, 2010 @ the Beach Club when should I make my first contact with DFTW?

I know that I cant book my date until February 10, 2010 which from today is 242 days, but when we should I really call so that I am sure that I get my day...I really need that specific date and time!!!:rotfl:but no seriously:cloud9: I need it!

When did you make your first contact? For what reasons? etc???

I made "first contact" shortly after I got engaged in Jan. I knew I was having a Disney wedding. At the time I was planning an Escape for Oct 1, 2010 (which is '&' in bianry) but have since moved my date to Labor Day 2010 and a Wishes wedding because Epcot Escape is no longer an option. If you know for sure that you want a Disney wedding go ahead and call.

Sorry for errors I'm typing on my cell phone from out of town. Don't tell DFi

Nikisha, thanks for asking this question!
I am in the beginning stages of my plans and I was wondering this too.
My date is farther than yours Feb 6 2011 and I would love the WP.
We are definitely set to do a Wishes wedding, but I also have no clue on when to call to make sure I get my date and time.

Around 18 months before is a good time to make first contact.

I called this week for my Sept. 2010 date, and although they were very pleasant she told me to wait until January and call back then. There is virtually nothing they can do ahead of time :sad1: But it was great to chat with someone who makes dreams come true...lol

this theory seems pretty practical since it would be 8 months from your date...I have programed my phone to alarm the day of my 8 month mark...I am just soooo worried that they will say that this is not availalbe.

what does this mean...???

sorry, binary is a computer language that is written in all 0s and 1s. DFi is a huge computer geek. so when 00100110 is translated it turns into an &

so 10-10-10 (in binary is written as 00101010) is *

thank you so much for the binary translation...i tried to look it up but it didnt come across clearly enough to my non computer geeky brain.:lmao:

I'd call now. Let them know that you are going to have a Disney wedding and they can get you some information now.

You definately don't have to wait until the 8 month mark to call. In fact I never phoned on the 8 month mark as they already new what I wanted and just booked me in. I rang at the 18 month mark and e-mailed questions to them all the way up to the 8 month mark.
