First Choice Car Hire

Blimey, not been on these boards for ages!!!! I've missed you all !!


Browsing through a First Choice brochure the other day I noticed that now use Alamo for their car hire. I'm sure they used Dollar the last few times we went. Am i right in thinking this? If they have changed is the car rental still done on site at Sanford airport? Have Alamo ousted Dollar as the on site company as I'm sure it was just Dollar who were there last time?

I'm sure there's not much difference between the two companies - does anyone have any thoughts?

They used Alamo when we went with them in 2007. They are in the airport at Sanford.

I was sure we had dollar as well when we flew with first choice in 2008

Yeah, they used to use Dollar but now that they have teamed up with Thomson they have gone with their preffered supplier, who is Alamo.

By all accounts Virgin are also swapping to Alamo from 2010...
