First CHILDLESS Trip Back To Disney Advice Needed!

Hey y'all! My husband and I are going to Disney over Halloween to celebrate our anniversary and my Birthday! I have been planning this trip like a lunatic for about a year. My husband and I met in culinary school so food is VIP....almost more important than the rides haha! Anyways we are staying at the GF becasue again, no kids so why not, and we have tickets to the food and wine Swan and dolphin festival for one of the nights. We also have Boo Bash tickets for Halloween night. We were able to snag reservations at almost all our target restaurants but were sad to see that Jikos and Flying Fish weren't open yet. HOWEVER we will be returning next December with the kids----taking bets now to see how long it takes us to become VCM haha!
ANYWAYS I really would love some of y'alls input for a childless vacation!

Congrats! Dh and I started doing a childless Orlando trip every January back in 2020. It's amazing!

We stay in a timeshare that's practically on property, and we let ourselves just enjoy things. We don't rope drop, we don't run through the parks commando style, we just hang out and do what we want to do. Usually that means arriving 30 minutes after rope drop and leaving by 3pm. Some days we come back and do dinner in the parks, some days we pick up fast food to take back to the condo. Plan some pool time. Do a bar / lounge night. Sit on the balcony in the afternoon and people watch.

Prioritize what things you must do in each park, but try to limit them. It's so much fun to wander more slowly and look for out of the way things. I admit that we rode the skyliner just because we could. We rode it out of Epcot, got off, and rode it right back. I plan to do that with the monorail this time, too, as long as it is open. We see more shows when we don't have the kids with us, because they prefer to do rides. Ride the dark rides, get a balloon, buy yourself some ears to wear.

Those are the things that make me happy and that got my hubby to agree that this is something that we should be doing every year (he's not a theme park fan). We make it about being together and enjoying the moment. I don't think you can go wrong that way.

Go for a drink in a lounge, then get a nice dinner and an “intimate” table for 2.

I’ve been doing “childless” trips with my (grownup) daughter for years and it really is fun. Remember that the food and wine booths will be up and running … it’s fun to share a few bites and there are generally some good options. We are from Chicago, which is a great food town so, although we are not at all picky, we know good food. I wouldn’t be too disappointed about missing out on Flying Fish this time. Since the renovation the food is nowhere near as good … and still pretty pricey. Disney Springs has some great options … we love Homecoming, Morimoto, and Wine Bar George is great if you appreciate good wine and great service. Have a great time!
