First birthday party..Goofy Kitchen vs Storytellers?

Please help me!! My nephew will be turning one year old on Sunday Sept 21st. My sister and brother in law have decided to celebrate the big event at Disneyland and booked rooms at the Paradise Pier for the weekend.

They want to take everybody to a mid morning brunch either at Goofy Kitchen or the Storytellers Cafe brunch. There will be over 12 adults and the only child attending will be the birthday boy. Which place would you choose and why? Is the food at both places comparable? Or is one better than the other?

Also, has anyone ordered a birthday cake from the Disney kitchens? Are they any good?

unless he is a HUGE fan of Brother Bear, Goofy's Kitchen hands down. I think the selection is much greater, more foods that he will probably like, great character interaction, and the they have the kid parade, music making thing, which he will love, so Goofy's Kitchen gets my vote any day. Tell him Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

I agree. Storytellers is better for older kids. Goofy's is just plain fun.

Definitely Goofy's Kitchen. We have done all three of our kids in Goofy's Kitchen. Their cakes are actually good but very expensive. It is a kick in Goofy's Kitchen, so much so my DH has asked that we eat there while we are there in September without the kids. I hope the birthday has a ball.

I always have my birthdays at Goofy's. They have a larger variety of characters and they know how to celebrate b-days. It may seem childish, but it's fun for kids and adults. They also have more variety of food in their buffet than Storyteller's.

But if you want to celebrate in a more toned down way, then Storyteller's would be good.

I haven't ordered a cake in a while but they were good. I had strawberries in mine!
