First banking and use question.

Have an October UY.

Haven't used the 2019 points.

If i want to stay December 2020, I would have to bank 2019 into 2020?

If i did that DVC would use the banked points first?

Yes. since Dec 2020 trip is in your 2020 UY, those 2019 UY points are eligible for that trip as long as they are banked.

When making the trip, it will pull those before current UY points.

I had a case where it didn't pull all of the banked points first, but a quick call to member services was able to reallocate the points correctly.

Both member services and the online system are supposed to use banked points before current. The online system, particularly when dealing with more than one contract, has had problems in the last several months, which Disney IT has not fixed yet, where the system has at times been failing to take banked points first. Also, even when dealing with MS, you should always confirm in the conversation that it is using those banked points.
