Hi everyone,

My new wife and I recently honeymooned in Disney and absolutely loved it so we are headed back next October for our first anniversary. We ate in a lot of great restaurants, but we want to find another special one for our anniversary dinner. Any suggestions would be great!

We ate at these restaurants this past time and want to do a different one for the dinner: Le Cellier, Victoria & Alberts, 50's Prime Time, Raglan Road, Beaches & Cream, O'Hana, and Cinderella's Royal Table. So let us know which restaurants, besides those you would choose. (It seems we ate at more, but my mind is going blank)!

Thanks for your help!
Patrick.

For special occasions, we usually have dinner at Jiko. We like the menu, the atmosphere, and the service.
If you like seafood, another nice restaurant with a romantic, "adult friendly" atmosphere is BlueZoo.
Enjoy!

California Grill or Jiko. :upsidedow Or how about Bistro de Paris?

Thanks for the great and quick responses. Jiko seems to be popular, what makes it so appealing that would make it special for us? Oh and neither one of us like seafood at all, so any seafood restaurants would be out.

Lots of good suggestions here. I'll rate my favorites as:
Artist Point
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Jiko
Flying Fish
Bistro de Paris
Narcoossee's

We got married at WDW last Dec. Our reception was at Citrico's. It was wonderful.

We are returning for our 1st anniversary in a couple of weeks, and our dinner will be at the California Grille. DH loves that restaurant, the view alone is very romantic.

Good Luck and Congratulations!! :goodvibes

My vote in order (and reasons).

1. Bistro de Paris. With the exception of Victoria & Alberts, this has the most adult environment on property. It's smaller than most other restaurants and quieter. It is not on the DDP so it doesn't have alot of people who are eating there because it's "free". Most diners here are serious about their food and don't mind paying $$$ OOP to get it. It has a sophisticated French menu. It it upstairs so overlooks the World Showcase which is beautiful in the evening. And it has a great chocolate souffle for dessert (just had to add that). The small tables for two that are situated by the front windows provide a very intimate and romantic experience. Diners generally dress up here which makes it nicer too.

2. JIKO. The AKL is gorgeous and I always feel uplifted when I walk into that lobby (my favorite lobby of all WDW resorts). JIKO is more subdued in its atmosphere. It's a bit dark inside which lends itself to feeling more intimate and private; it has an extensive African wine selection which is a lot of fun. The appetizers are very unique and adventurous. It also has the best steak on property. We like to eat here late; there are usually no large groups or loud parties. You can hear each other talk and you don't have to worry about the table next to you being so close that they are listening to your conversations.

3. Ca Grill. Great food. The view is spectacular and the food is interesting with an eclectic selection. However, this place is noisy, brightly lit, lots of children, and you will see people dressed very casual in printed t-shirts, etc. We still like it because the food is outstanding but I think the noise level cuts into the romantic mood. However, if you book and tell them you are celebrating your first anniversary, you probably have a better chance of getting seated next to the windows. If you plan your reservation to coincide with Wishes fireworks, it's hard to beat.

We ate the the Rose and the Crown for our 1st anniversary, and it was just magical!

We didn't get a patio seat, but we had a lovely dinner right inside. When it was time for Illumnations, our waitress took us out to wear we could watch Illumnations and the spot was just perfect. It was so romantic!

When Illumnations was done, our dessert was waiting for us. We ate it and then had a lovely walk (with not too many people around) out to the busses.

It was the perfect 1st anniversary dinner!

My suggestion would be Jiko. We ate there a few weeks ago and it was wonderful. The food is great, the atmosphere is subdued and beautiful and they have a wonderful wine selection. Our waiter suggested a Zinfindel for us and it was great.
We had a 8:00 ADR and waited a bit to be seated. It was quiet and very romantic. There were very few children there and they were very quiet.

Flying Fish is really good also. It has a nice location. After dinner if you plan it right you can walk through the International Gateway grab a glass of Champagne in France and watch Illuminatios.

Just wondering what the OP wound up doing and how it turned out.

We also went to Disney for our honeymoon and ate at a couple of the restaurants you listed. And just like you, we are going back next year for our 1st anniversary! I would recommend Narcoossee's for special occasions. If you get the timing right, you can have the perfect view of Wishes at MK. Congrats on your marriage! :santa:

What about V&A Chef's Table?? It is truly a different experience than the dining room and SO memorable and wonderful!! We did this for our 3rd anni this past Nov.
