Hi everyone!

My husband and I are looking into doing a catered event at either WDW or DLR for our "first" anniversary. This wouldn't take place for about three years, because we got married on February 29, 2016- so our "first" anniversary won't be until 2020!

Since we only get to have our actual anniversary date once every four years, we'd like to do something special when it does roll around. Obviously, we are still far, far FAR out, but since we travel to Disney often and have several trips planned between now and then, I'd like to have an idea of what kind of cost I might be looking at so I can have lots of time to save!

I was looking at a few options online- but, as usual, pricing is nowhere to be found! :rolleyes1

A couple ideas I had:

We got married at Castaway Cay with DCL- so I liked the idea of Typhoon Lagoon's private events to keep with "beach" feel from our wedding- does anyone have any idea what cost might look like for them? Say for an event with maybe 10-20 people?

I also love LOVE ToT- and I loved what @lurkyloo did for her anniversary! I was able to find a little about pricing for that because of her wonderful site!

Finally, doing something in Animal Kingdom was something I'd also considered. We specifically like the Expedition Everest Base Camp and the Artisan Rooms at Discovery Island.

*I'm from the east coast and couldn't find a lot of info on Disneyland, and since I'm not local I;m not quite as familiar with DLR as I am with WDW, but if anyone has an ideas from over there I'd love to hear them!

Does anyone know what pricing might look like? I know pricing is likely to change in three years but even if I just have a rough idea of what I'm looking at it would help a ton. Even if you've had a similar event at a different venue, I'd be more than thankful to look at what it cost you if you're comfortable sharing.

Basically, I'd want an event about 2 hours long, with food and a cake (or a separate dessert party), and a ride mix in for about 10-20 people. Maybe a character as well, but that isn't the highest priority.

I have a rough idea of costs from when I did my wedding and as I'm helping a friend plan her WDW vow renewal now, but I'm not sure how this changes by venue, event, after hours events, etc.

Thanks!

If you or your friend happened to pick up the PassPorter during your Disney wedding planning, I have pricing for just about every event venue at Walt Disney World in Chapters 3 and 5. Also, pricing for catered events is the same as pricing for weddings. The only difference is that you don't have to meet the overall minimums DFTW imposes. Well, and that in-park viewing fees are $12.95 and only for those without park admission, whereas DFTW levies a $10 fee on everyone except the bridal couple, no matter who has admission already.

Typhoon Lagoon
  • Cascade Cove Upper Venue Fee: $400
  • Cascade Cove Lower Venue Fee: $400
  • Hideaway Bay Venue Fee: $300
  • Food & Beverage minimum: $45/person
These prices are for a "mix-in" event while the park is open to day guests. You'd need to have 50 guests for a buyout, and you don't even wanna know the price! :teeth:

Expedition Everest Base Camp
  • Venue Fee: $3,000
  • Food & Beverage Minimum: $10,000
  • Mandatory Ride Buyout: $8,500
The Artisan Rooms (a.k.a., Pizzafari) are the one AK venue I don't have pricing for! I'd imagine they're similar to the pavilions at Flame Tree Barbecue, which go for a $500 venue fee and about a $3,000 food and beverage minimum.

Ride mix-ins cost $15/person without park admission.
