Oh Lord it is December isn't it?

I'm feeling very unmotivated lately, I guess with so much going on at home it's tough but I do have a 30 minute firm tape for tomorrow. It may not be much but at least it's something.

Hello, all!

I have never posted on this thread, but am wondering a little bit about FIRM stuff... I have the tapes, and the weights, and the steps. They are all stored away in a little room upstairs. That room doesn't have a TV. I am sure you see where this is going, right? So... How do I get started?!

Here are the tapes that I have:

The Firm Parts 4 Pack: 5-Day Abs, Upper Body, Standing Legs, Tough Tape 2
The Firm Body Sculpting System: Cardio Sculpt, Body Sculpt, Ab Sculpt

Does anybody use these ones? Is there a routine or something to follow? All areas need work... Thank you in advance for any help!

Hello Ashley, welcome. I don't have the first pack, but I did start with the second set. I just did it. Start with a cardio + sculpting workout. By this I mean one that has cardio and then weight training. Great for getting your body in shape. Then the next day do some cardio and keep switching like that. Don't forget to add in a rest day. If you haven't worked out in a while, start with no weights or light weights. You will be able to get heavier as you continue.

Someone here might come back and give you their advice. This is just how I started. However I was so ready to see results, I often forgot to take a rest day and did my darnest to go heavy weights. However, you must know your body. Don't push to far, to fast, to soon!
 
Hey Ashley, welcome to this fun thread. I agree with Sheree, cardio then sculpt. I think that works best but don't push it. If you need to do the beginner to get the moves do it then add the weights. The firm is an excellent workout. A lot of us supplement with walking or running just to break up the routine.

Today was body sculpt blaster with Nancy. Just a quick workout and I think I'll do a much longer one tomorrow.
 
Good morning everyone! Freezing cold here in Texas. I love the cold weather. It doesn't happen often around here.

Yesterday I did Timesaver #1 and today I did push pull, plus 50 minutes of low max.

Hi all! :wave: The dr. said I could start doing light workouts. :cheer2: He said to start about 50% of max heart rate. But since I never go by my heart rate, I figured I'd just start with easy workouts and see how I feel. He also said no heavy lifting for several more days. Today I did Cardio Sculpt Blaster and the abs section from Cardio & Weights. My plan is to add a little more time and intensity each session until I'm back to Cathe. It feels good to exercise again even if I hardly worked up a sweat.

I'm so glad your feeling better. Got in 30 minutes of firming today but ruined it all by going out for lunch but it was a feeling sorry for myself lunch and it was fun, had some laughs with my mom and sister. You guys would love them!

DS woke up this am so I wasn't able to get any exercise in but I'm hoping to get in a good hour tomorrow am.
 
This morning I did Calorie Killer and Express Cardio. I really wanted to workout with Cathe but I restrained myself.

s&k's mom, I hope your lunch and time with your mom and sister made you feel better. Your emotional health is just as important as your physical health.
 
Yes, lunch was very nice. I was having a debate with myself this am whether to workout or not when DD woke up. But I'm gonna pretty much stick to south beach since I'm having trouble working out. But I also realize that working out makes my mental health better. Oy this time of year is nuts!
 
Good morning everyone. I did the viper this morning. This afternoon I will do a good long stretch and abs. After a light workout tomorrow morning, I would have finished the exercise challenge plus got in a whole bunch before we leave!!!!!

Well I finally got in a workout this am, the firm tape with Susan Harris, tough but really good, one of my favorites. Now let's just hope I behave eating wise today.
 
Yesterday I did Muscle Max. I had to lower the weights I generally use for some of the exercises. Today I am sore. I feel like I should do some cardio today, but I'm feeling so lethargic. Thanks to PMS, my eating has been horrible lately.
 
Oh the evil PMS! Got in one of my favorite tapes today, from BSS2 (?) the Emily tape. She's just so cute!
