Happy New Year everyone!!! I've done my first workout of the new year today!!!!

I did Total Muscle shaping today. I wanted to do the new rotatin that Nancy posted on the firm website, but I have to sub a lot of videos. I don't have the older ones. If anyone wants the rotation schedule to kind of kick up their workout, let me know.

Good evening Firmies!

I was thinking about you all when I got up yesterday morning and was feeling a bit lazy but I knew I couldn't let the new year start without getting in a work out. I didn't get one in early in the day but later in the evening I did Carlorie Killer with Nancy and boy was that a great work out. I didn't have an exercise bra but bought one on Saturday and used it for the first time with this work out. What a difference it has made! I was pouring with sweat when I finished CK. This morning I did BSS3 Complete Body Sculpting with Krista. My favorite work out and another great sweat thanks to my exercise bra.

I'm also happy to report a 1 pound loss! I have been bouncing around with the same 3 or 4 pound gain for the past 5 weeks so I'm officially 189.5 pounds and have lost 93 pounds now. Woohoo!!!! I try not to eat past 7:30 and am watching the n/s/a ice cream and that seems to be helping. I'm just tickled pink to be in the 180's, the first time in my adult life!!!

Sheree - thanks so much for getting us started with a new week and a new year! I would love to know what the new rotation is for BSS3. Right now I do FBC 3 times per week with 1 day each of the TMS and CBS and I do one of the older tapes the other 2 days per week. Thanks for offering to share! I

Hello hello and happy new year!

I did CAWT today, it was supposed to be Super Cardio Sculpt and FIRM Abs but I have a super busy day tomorrow so I did tomorrows workout today and will do todays workout tomorrow :)

I too am going to follow Nancy's rotation so you all know to keep me in line - LOL

Lisa-
Super Huge congrats to you!!! 93 pounds is Awesome!!!

On a side note, my sis in law got bss1 for xmas this year. She wanted it last year but no one gave it to her. Darn if she would have said something I sure would have. Anyway, hoping to turn her into a die-hard FIRMie too :)

Hey can I join you guys?

I've been FIRMing since mid-April and love it! I've also been following the FIRM threads for a while and every week I tell myself that I'm going to join in. Well, the new year finally inspired me to do it.

Today I did Super Cardio Sculpt with Nancy and part of Ab Sculpt. I think most of Ab Sculpt is too easy so I just do the 9 or 10 minute segment in the middle with the crunches and lower ab excercises.

I ordered more Firm dvd's on Christmas day and am (im)patiently awaiting their arrival.

Norma, welcome. We love having new people around!!!

Today I did CAWT. Getting down with the fannie lifter!! I'm doing great so far. What a way to start off the new year.

Another big Firmie welcome to Norma! As Sheree said, we love having new people join us. It's so encouraging to read about everyone's exercise everyday.

This morning I did BSS1 ab sculpt. I whimped out because I was supposed to do BSS3 Fat Blasting Cardio but I didn't go to be until close to 1:30 am so I needed something light.

Have a great Firmin' Monday everyone!

Good morning everyone!

Today I did Cardio Sculpt. Usually I look forward to my Firm workouts. But today was one of those days when I really didn't want to exercise but I did it anyway. I'm struggling with serious PMS right now. And DD left to go back to college yesterday; I'm really missing her and feeling depressed. Sorry to be so blue today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Lisa: A good exercise bra is so important. It really does make a huge difference. Go out and buy another one or two. BTW I am so impressed with your progress. Your spirit and determination are truly an inspiration!!

Thanks Lisa and Sheree for the warm welcome.

Hi FIRMies!

I did Cathe's HSTA (High Step Training Advanced) today...but it has music in it from Allie's Cardio Sculpt, so I figure that it counts as a FIRM day! It was rough working out today. I turned 38 last month and am in the throes of peri-menopause. So, after spotting for a few weeks and feeling like a hormonal wreck over the weekend, TOM finally came this morning with a vengence! :crazy2: I just felt so tired and yucky while exercising this morning, but it did feel good once I was done. I plan on getting to bed extra early tonight, so I'm sure that'll help a bit.

Hi Sheree'! I see you plan on making 2005 as fit a year as 2004 was for you--a big congrats on your first FIRM of the year! :cheer2:

Hi cobbler! CAWT is probably in my top 5 of any instructor's workouts of all time. I love how you hit every major body part in an hour, and those compound exercises really keep the heart pumping! And even after doing that w/o for over a year, I still giggle when Emily says "Gettin' down with the Fanny Lifter!" Good luck with Nancy's rotation!

Hi Norma and welcome! We're so glad to have you starting a brand new year with us! What other w/o's have you ordered? You'll have to give us all your reviews when they come in! I'm so sorry you're feeling blue about your dd going back to college. Although my ds9's only in 3rd grade, I'm going to miss the little guy when he goes back to school tomorrow. He's my only one, and we really had a great time together over the holiday break. So on a (much, much!) smaller scale, I'm with ya'! Once again, we wish you a very warm welcome and I look forward to seeing you here! :wave2:

WISH-Sis Lisa!!! Goodness you must be tired after getting to bed @ 1:30. I hope everything's alright, and that tonight you can get some rest--you'll be back in Full FIRMing Form in no time! I can't believe you're down 93 pounds!!! I am running out of superlatives to describe you, Woman! I remember how big a milestone hitting the 180's was for me, and I offer yet another BIG CONGRATULATIONS to you, my dear friend! You continue to Razzle-Dazzle! :flower:

I hope you all have a wonderful start to the first week of 2005! I have five 8 & 9 year-old boys in the driveway right now, supposedly washing my car! I need to go assess the damage! :scared: Have a lovely evening!

Happy New Year to all my FIRM friends!! You all are so totally awesome! The days are counting down till I can start FIRMing again. Less than a week now till the Marathon and I plan on doing a few 30 min walks and then REST REST until the big day. I'm just using this week to eat well within my points and make sure each point is used to fill a nutritional requirement. I had points left last night and I'm so proud of myself. I used them for plain yogurt and fruit instead of a coconut bar(popcicle) I had my eye on. I felt super after passing it up and the vitamins, protien and calcium in what I did have was much better utilized by my body. You know I didn't exercise at all from June till the begining of Dec and I know it's because I did the FIRM from Jan-Jun that I am able to actually think about finishing this marathon. Those workouts really got my muscles conditioned and built up and I would not be where I am today without it (and all of you for keeping me going and making me love the FIRM).

Lisa- I hope your body starts cooperating and not doing wacky things on you. I got my TOM too and I tell you I was one cranky momma yesterday! Today I felt bloated and yucky and didn't even feel like getting out of bed.

Norma-I'm so glad your joining us. I still can't believe you were lurking for so long. I'm really glad your here with us!!

SM4987 - You sound really positive! Keep up the fabulous work. You have come so far and 2005 will be even better than last year!! I want to get back on the firm webstite. The stuff they posted was so helpful!! Are you enjoying the FIRM website?

Cobbler- I agree with Kimmie- I love love love Emily in CAWT. Glad your going to turn your SIL into a Die hard FIRM fan. Tell her to come post with us. The more the merrier!!

Lisa- As I said before, I am just so proud of you for loosing that pound and getting into the 180's!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I'm just so proud of you! A good workout bra is so important. I just got 2 good ones from Title 9 sports and I can't believe what a difference it makes. I also needed it because when I would walk and run long distances I was chafing under my bra line. These new bra's make all the difference in the world.

Here's to 2005! I plan to get back on track and not let myself get off track no matter what. I gained 20lbs because of it and I just saw a picture of myslef this summer. What a difference 20lbs can make to your face. I can't wait to get that person back again.

the firm website is still awesome. It is so helpful and I love reading all the encouragement. Lisa K is really great on the website.

Hi everyone!

Despite not feeling well today, I did manage to get Calorie Killer in and Day 3 of FIRM 5 Day Abs. I am really tired now, but felt a major need to exercise.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday! Welcome Norma!

Whew, its getting late and I need to get to bed but I just wanted to type a quick check in.

Today = rest day
Yesterday (Monday) I did manage to do my workout to Super cardio sculpt and FIRM Abs

OK, I'm checking in. Yesterday was fat blasting cardio. Today was super body sculpt.

I'm glad to see everyone doing so well.

Another day, another Firm workout.

Yesterday (Tuesday) I did Maximum Cardio Burn with Allie. Today was CAWT. :cheer2:

I really wanted to buy BSS3 but I just don't have space in my family room for the step. So I had to settle for Firm Abs, Cardio Sculpt Blaster, Upper Body Sculpt, and Calorie Killer. What do you guys think of these workouts? I hope they get here soon; I really need a change.

Good afternoon Firmies!

I'm just checking in. I have to report to guys that thanks to a lovely, generous and kind fellow Firmie on our thread I am now hooked on Cathe's work outs!!!! I was sent Cathe's Basic Step+Body Fusion DVD and got it in the mail yesterday. Last night I did the 30 minute basic step and liked it so much I did it again this morning. Her moves and style are so different from the Firm but very enjoyable. I have a feeling I will eventually be adding on more Cathe work outs. I was afraid that her work outs were too advanced but so far the one I have done is just the right tempo. I work up a good sweat and just when I think I can't do one more Charleston or rocking horse move, it's time to stretch and cool down.

Norma - Thanks for the compliments on my progress. I know I could not have been half as successful as I am without the support and encouragement from WISH. I have both Cardio Sculpt Blaster and Calorie Killer. They are both good work outs. With CSB, I found it a bit easy after a while so I use medium (5 pound) weights instead of light weights (3 pound) and that has really made a difference. CK is a killer. Nancy Tucker is a tough instructor but it's a fun work out. I hope you like leg presses because you do a LOT of them in CK. :earseek: If the Firm abs you have is the 5 day abs, I've heard great things about that work out. All in all, I think you picked some good ones. Happy Firming!

Hi to Sheree, cobbler, Tracy, Melanie and Kim. You guys are doing great and I just love reading about the work outs you're doing! Unfortunately, I gotta run now. I'll try to check back later.

Hi FIRMies,

I did 1 mile on the TM last night.

Lisa,
I'm so glad you liked the Cathe Video's! A certain someone I know was super nice to send that to you!! I've tried her one video on the Fitness channel but I didn't have the right equipment so I didn't get much out of it. I'll have to try to TIVO them again.

Norma, Those are great tapes. I am sure you will love them. Calorie Killer is fun. It's the one with Nancy right. There is an older Calorie Killer too that is much more difficult. I also think that Ab sculpt is the one with Nancy too. Not the 5 day abs. The 5 day abs is the very old one.

Hellllooooo FIRMies!

Man oh man, I am so impressed with how hard everyone is working and hearing all about it really keeps me going!

Tracy!!!!! It's so good to hear from you Hunny Bunny! I'm so sorry you're not feeling well and hope you'll be back to your Sunny Sweet Self very soon! I bet you "assassinated some major calories" with Calorie Killer! You take good care, Tracy!

Woo Hoo cobbler, you're goin' strong!!! I admire people who work their abs. It is one thing that I can't even force myself to do! Hmmmmm....no wonder I look perpetually pregnant! You keep up all your great work!

Hi Sheree'! You just keep zoomin' along with your workouts, don't you?! Another BIG CONGRATULATIONS on all your tough FIRMing!

Hi Norma! Oooooooo, I just LOVE MCB!!! I'm not sure you know yet, but I am president of the Allie Fan Club. I'll buy and love anything she does. I've said it before, I'm only about an hour's car drive away from being a stalker! I always liked Calorie Killer. It has some relly fun moves, and like Lisa said, TONS of leg press (of which I am no big fan)! Great job with your workouts, Norma!

OK, Lisa! Who is this "lovely" woman of whom you speak? :scratchin Hmmmmm...any ideas? Oh, OK! It was me! But the only reason I'm coming out of the closet, so to speak, is because I want it written down for posterity's sake that someone called me "lovely"!!! :hyper: Lisa, I am *so glad* you're enjoying yourself and are kind enough to share that joy with others! That's what it's all about! Lotsa luv-n-hugs to you, my dear WISH Sis!

Melanie!!! Before anything else, Mel, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your post to me with regard to my wanting to gain weight in last week's thread. I am so sorry I haven't thanked you earlier! Your response must have taken so much time for you to write, and you words were filled with so much support and understanding. Thank you so very much Mel, for being so caring!   You are in my Marathon Thoughts, and I can't wait to hear all about it! ARE YOU PSYCHED!!! :cheer2:

Today I did Cathe's Pyramid Lower Body. It's been a while since I really worked my lower body with major poundage, so I went as heavy as I could and can feel it already! Heavying up also gives me a chance to wear my weightlifting gloves. And when I wear those I feel MACHO. :cool1:

I am off to basketball practice with ds. All you FIRMies have a wonderful evening. Stay strong everybody!

OK I'm here finally. Guess what? I am typing on a computer at home! So I can cyber firm with you guys daily. I feel like I've missed so much the last few months not having regular access to a computer but now here I am. I thought of you guys all the time and have kept firming and have made a new committment to it.

Hay all, I did Super Sculpting today. I never did that workout before today. I was a little nervous about it thinking it might be along the lines of Super Cardio but it wasn't that bad. A good workout still but not super cardio tough.

Norma-
I like the workouts you got, ck is tough, it starts out easy then watch out!
Upper body sculpt is a tough one too, your arms will feel like jell-o.

Lisa-
I have heard a lot about Cathe and how tough she is. Good for you to tackle it, you have more courage than I do :) I haven't ventured outside TheFIRM yet, just not to the point where I want to ;)

Mel-
Probably nice to be able to walk indoors out of the cold and snow - ick! I don't have a treadmil but hubby just got an exercise bike.

Kim-
Good job for you on the Cathe too! :) I like to do abs. I had good abs once before I got somewhat lazy this past year and they aren't as cut as they should be. I will get them back soon :)

Welcome back S&K :)
