Fireworks?

So we are planning our next Disneyland trip for March 2017. I just heard that the Disneyland Forever fireworks are over now? Im pretty sure there were other fireworks recently that also included projections on main street. I just checked the schedule and "Fantasy in the Sky" is whats happening now. Does that mean there will be no more fireworks with projections? Im so sad to have missed that!

Sadly, yes, they've stopped presenting Disneyland: Forever, which was the first show to use the projection effects on Main Street. Previous shows used some projection effects on the Castle and Small World (e.g., Believe...in Holiday Magic), but the previous version of Fantasy in the Sky did not use the projection effects on MS (it's a very short show). It's not known if the projections will be incorporated into future fireworks shows (I hope so) or whether they'll use the projection effects at all (they did project Halloween-themed images on the MS buildings last year during MHP).

If Disneyland was kind to their guests in any capacity, they'd spend the money and bring back Disneyland Forever. Or at least something similar. The Fantasy in the Sky show is really weak and screams "you spent a bundle but we're giving you the cheap stuff anyway". I saw it last Feb and I've seen better fireworks at the local Single A baseball affiliate. Hoping that Disneyland becomes "Disney" again and starts offering the best of the best.
