Fireworks

I'm going to DLP 24-26th September...will there be any fireworks?

we leave for disney on the 30th sept. also disappointed about the lack of fireworks as were used to seeing them in wdw during sept/oct

Does anyone know why the fireworks stopped? I was at DLP for the Christmas season in 2002 and 2003 and there were fireworks every night. Went back for the Christmas season in 2008 and there were no fireworks at all. Was it due to financial cutbacks? The lighting of the castle is lovely but it is just not the same without the fireworks. At the start of Disney programs/films when I was a kid there was always an animation of the castle with fireworks behind it so I loved it in the parks. Anyone we can petition to bring them back???

I've been told it's because of the noise the fireworks make disturbing the residents of the the near by villages. Val d'Europe was not as big as it was back in 2003 compaired to today.

I read in an interview recently with one of the firework show designers that DLP are working with firework companies to make quieter fireworks. So there is hope that one day we will get some displays in the off seasons.
