Im going to be heading to DCA later this week and was wondering if there is any good viewing place outside of DL to view the fireworks. I was hoping that somewhere in or near DTD there would be a place to view the fireworkds without having things block us. I know I could always come home and see them from my upstairs room, but since I was there I thought I'd see if there was somewhere good to sit and watch without going into the park. And I knew if anyone could help with a spot it would be someone on this board. Thanks in advance.

Have seen a number of people "camping" out waiting to view the fireworks in the area between the entrance to DL and DCA in front of the C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A

My son and I viewed the fireworks from there, the plaza between the two park entrances, after having dinner at The Rain Forest Cafe in DTD. You won't hear the music that accompanies the fireworks but you'll get a good view of them from there.

There's even some good spots in DCA to watch them. Over by the dinosaur, over by Grizzley (by the bathrooms going to the pier area behind golden dreams) in the sunshine plaza. Between the two parks. Over by hagen daaz, over by teddy bear factory. All these spots however will have bits and pieces blocked by various things, but you can see the majority of the fireworks. However it is kind of trial and error, you just have to keep moving around till you get the perfect spot.

Best place to watch fireworks, Top floor of the parking structure. You should see the people who camp out there on New Years Eve and 4th of July that don't want to venture into the park. People bring their chairs and find a spot up there. If you can't get right up at the railing (though it shouldn't be a problem on a regular night) move back towards the bridge and you'll be able to see them over the little lattice work thing they have.

By the way anyone notice that the new fireworks noise isn't as nice as the old noise. Maybe those closer to the parks like the new noise better, but I sure don't. I loved to sit at home and listen to the boom boom boom of the fireworks everynight at 9:30. Now it sounds more like the roar of thunder, so everynight I keep thinking we're going to have a storm. Wonder how long it will take to get used to hearing thunder everynight.

In the past my family would leave the park we were at and take the Mickey and Friends Tram to the parking garage and watch them from the top parking level, specially during 4th of July when it's packed.

I always thought the music was what made Disney's show special from the others. If you won't have admission to the park thought I wouldn't pay just to hear the music.

Honestly the BEST view I've ever gotten was from the fantasmic desert buffets balcony. Just AMAZING.

We've watched them from the bench outside the restaurant next to BW PPI before, um I think it's Captain Kidd's now. GREAT view!

In fact, this past July, we were having a cocktail on the patio of said restaurant and watched them there.

dletz, I totally miss the BOOM BOOM also. Honestly, I don't care for this present show that much. I LOVE LOVE LOVED Believe! Though, I miss Believe! such a wonderful show!

In the park, I like watching them in Fantasyland, you can see Tink sooooo good from there!
