Fireworks viewing from Desert Inn or Park Vue?

Both Desert Inn and Suites and the Park Vue Inn advertise that they have a good fireworks viewing area at their hotel. Has anyone watched the fireworks from either of these before, and if so what was your experience? Did you have a good view? Could you hear any of the music?

Thanks!

We stayed at the Desert Inn in 2005 & watched the fireworks a number of times from their rooftop viewing area. You could see pretty good (except the low to the ground effects) but no, you can't hear the music. We actually video taped from up there & then dubbed in the soundtrack.....worked ok, but nothing like being right in front of the castle.

We watched the fireworks from our room at Parvue on two separate nights last March. Great view of them, no music. We didn't go to the breakfast area, we're they say you can view them from because we didn't need to, but I'd say they'd be the same if not better from there...

Thanks for the answers! We are hoping to go on a little mini trip in May before a family reunion in CA. I have heard that the Remember fireworks will be ending sometime in the spring, so it will be interesting to see if they have fireworks then.

I'm also doing a mini may trip, I REALLY REALLY hope the fireworks are still going then, but I do have my doubts...
