Fireworks viewed from Narcoosees?

We are eating at 7, HEA starts 9:15, so we could go elsewhere to see the fireworks, or stay around. Which would be better, we have AP, so could go into park, but would prefer not to get in crowds. Memorial weekend, so parks should be very busy.

You'll be surprised. Park is not super packed Memorial Day weekend. It's our 4th year in a row to plan to be there that weekend. While it's a Holiday and they are always somewhat more crowded than a non Holiday weekend, as Holiday's go, it's one of the lower crowded ones because you have the Northern half (roughly) of the country still in school and too close to the end of the school to take a vacation to Disney. It's sort of similar to Labor Day and how you have most of the Southern half of the country in school and too close to the start of school for them to take vacation.

Anyway, we have watched fireworks from Narcoosees (one of the last performances of Wishes actually) last year and it was good. Nice view. They let folks out on the patio, pipe in music, etc. You'll loose all the projections of course. But with an AP, you'll obviously have many other times to see it that way. So I'd say, stay at Narcoosees and watch. Get a different perspective

You have a lot of choices that are good. I am with you on avoiding crowds! The view from the Narcoosee's patio is good, or you can walk over towards Poly--the view from the beach area between the two resorts is nice and not crowded, but no music, and the view from Poly beach is excellent. You're supposed to be able to hear the music at the Poly beach, but it isn't always working.

3) But, the patio gets crowded with other onlookers.

You do lose the projections. But if you wanted to hang out in the GF lobby listening to the band or pianist and then head back out to the GF boat dock or viewing area in front of Gasparilla's, you can still see the fireworks portion of the show.

It is actually a good spot to see the fireworks if you want to view them from outside of the park. You do need to go outdoors, but that is true in most cases if you want to see them from a restaurant. I tend to choose Narcoossees over CG becuase I get too nervous on the viewing platform there, even though I think the view is spectacular. Nothing beats a Main Street view though.

I agree. We watched them from the deck at Narcoossee's and I do recommend watching them from there if you are looking for an out of park viewing. It should never replace an in park viewing of course but for a restaurant option, I too liked it more than CG. I found the platform at CG way more crowded, seeing how they allow anyone who dined all day to return, and we went to the 2nd platform. The first was totally full.

I have a 7:30pm reservation for Narcoosse's for May 3. Do you think we'd make it back to Main Street for the fireworks at 9:15pm? That 7:30pm was the only time I could get....
