What is the best strategy if you want to watch the fireworks from in front of the castle, but don't care about seeing Paint the Night? I think the area will be very congested from PTN watchers and I'm unsure when or where to grab a spot. We have only been to DL once and that time watched the fireworks from Rivers of America after Fantasmic, so I have no idea how it works in front of the castle. If it's anything like WDW, I know it will be very crowded. :) Thanks for any help.

The area in front of the castle (the area between the Partners Statue and the Castle) is the most popular spot to watch fireworks. It generally fills up well before fireworks starts, so I would aim to be there at least several hours in advance.
