Fireworks still on when park closes early?

I have noticed on the WDW website that Magic Kingdom will be closing early on January 25, 2007. Instead of closing at 8pm the park will close at 6:30pm. I believe I read somewhere that the early closing is for a press event?

My question is: When a park closes early for an event do they still do fireworks, parades like any other night (just earlier) or do they cancel all that?

No way to tell except by using the calendar.

Click the above link for the OFFICIAL WDW Calendar.
Then:

1. Pick your Park.
2. Pick your Month.
3. CLICK ON the DATE on which you want the info.

Disney publishes dates and times approximately 6 months in advance.
Make sure to check back often, as times and events are subject to change as the actual dates get nearer.

We will be in the World that week and on the 25th is when the Pirates and Princess Party is and it says Wishes will be at 6:30pm. It will be dark still at that time. It actually works out better for us because my son will only be 2, and with the earlier time he will be able to get to bed on time that night!!

Oh, I didn't realize the Pirate/Princess Party was that night.. I guess that is the reason the park is closing early? Thanks.

I didn't even think to check the WDW calendar for show/firework times.. duhhh!

Pirates and Princess Party is on the 26th, not the 25th.
