Fireworks question!

Hi everyone!
Traveling on 10-19 through 10-24. My son is 6, with Down syndrome. We're yearly travelers to Disney (so blessed!).
Doing MNSSHP again this year. My son is TERRIFIED of loud noises and fireworks will cause him to get so upset and scared he throws up. We travel with Bose noise-cancellation headphones. Usually before fireworks one of us will leave with him. But we want to stay later this year at the party. Is there anywhere in the park, that you know of, where we could take him so he can't hear or see the fireworks?

You can hear the fireworks from everywhere in the parks.
If you are in one of the longer attractions, it will be still able to be heard, but muted.
Haunted Mansion, Small World, Pirates, Tiki Birds, Mickey's Philharmagic would be good options.

If you want headphones that you don't have to worry about batteries for, many people use the Peltor headphones like these. They are designed for deadening sounds and are very effective against loud/sharp noises.
The sound cancelling ones are more designed to 'cancel out' outside sounds so that people can hear sounds over the headphones easily; many people find they are less effective at sounds like fireworks.

Last 2 years we went to MNSSHP, Tiki Room has been a candy stop - no shows during MNSSHP

Country Bears Jamboree maybe? (if the timing is right?)

Or maybe take that time to pop in to Auntie Gravity's and have a snack/rest break?

Just jumping in to second @SueM in MN's recommendation to use Peltor over your noise canceling Bose. My brother also has DS and is extremely firework sensitive. We found the Peltor to be far more effective than the Bose in nearly every situation at WDW, but particularly with fireworks.

It was nice to leave them just hanging on the back of the stroller at all times. He knew they were there, so it served as somewhat of a safety net for him so that he didn't have as much fear of the unknown.

Do the Halloween fireworks still have that part where they set off around the perimeter? If so, I think that would be very overwhelming.

I haven't been this year, but they did last year. I expect they do this year too.

Being inside a show is the best way. You will still hear booms, but they will be a lot more muted.
The other show I was thinking of was Laugh Floor.

That is what most people report.
The purpose of noise cancelling headphones is to help hear music or something else you are listening to over the headphones. So, if the person is listening to something over the headphones, they will work pretty well to cancel outside noises that different than the sounds being played.

The purpose of the Peltor ones and similar ones is to deaden/reduce noises in the environment.

If country bear jamboree is running, I recommend that show. When the show exits, it exits into Pecos Bill's, so if the fireworks are still booming outside, you can grab a seat at a table, and wait out the rest of the show. There is a seating area that is not near doors or windows that may help block out the noise.

yes they do still do this I just got back a little over a week ago and they had the perimeter going off.
