silly question, but I've always wondered... How does DCL handle cleaning up the debris from the fireworks? Does a lot of it end up in the ocean? I've seen a field after a fireworks show, and it looked horrible.

DCL uses plant based products that are biodegradable and that the fish can actually eat. I'll have to look it up for you when I get home but there is a video online where they talk about it.

I should have known they would have a responsible way to handle it. Thank you!!

Oh yes, some other examples are they take the used oil off the ship and recycle it to fuel the boats, trams, etc on Castaway Cay. They also recycle the pallets used to bring food on the island and turn them into fences and other structures.

They offload the cooking oil and convert it to bio-fuel for trucks on Nassau as well.

Also note the firework they use are roughly the same size that can be bought by consumers in some states. They are not the size of a typical 4th of July event by a city. As other posters have notes they do source they to have biodegradable parts, namely the paper and the inert stabilizer material. Both corn based I believe.
