My husband and I are getting in Wednesday and decided not to start going to the parks until Thursday. We are staying at the POR, with our 2 kids. The first day we were just going to venture out and enjoy our resort, the pools and do a little tour guide of our own. :woohoo:

We were thinking of going to a different resort Wednesday night and watching the fireworks from a different resort. Is this even possible?

I have read the Poly and Contemporary are awesome to watch fireworks. We are wondering what about transportation?? We don't want to drive to a different resort, I don't think we would be able to. What about the buses?? Do they have resort to resort transportation? Any advise would be most helpful, I am a superfreak and just want our trip to be the best!!!!!:cloud9:

Thank you!!!!

Hi. I had asked this question on here last week when I was at SSR. On Thurs night my husband and I went to the Poly and sat at the bar until it was time for Wishes then went out to the beach there and watched them. It was fantastic (but chilly) :) I don't know if you can see them from inside the Poly or not :confused3

We got a bus to MK, from there got on the monorail to the Poly. I don't know if that's the only way or if there are any other ways.

Have a great time!!

Thank you Tina!!! Did you wait very long when the fireworks were over to get back to your resort. We only worry b/c of our 2 kids, 3 and 2.
Hope you had a great time.

Thanks again,
Maura

We don't have kids so we hung out at the bar for a while. It was so dead the week we went though, so I doubt it would have been crowded if we would have gotten back on the monorail. We were never on transportation with more than 20 people the whole week.

I hope you have a great vacation. Your kids will be so excited!! :goodvibes

We did this exact same things several years ago. We took a bus from CBR to MK. Rode the monorail (got to sit up front:banana:  ) on the Epcot loop. Then got off and rode the monorail to GF, Poly and Contemporary and back to MK. Watched the water parade but left before Wishes because we wanted an early night.

Kids loved just riding round and round on the monorail. :dance3:

do you have to go into MK to get on the monorail ? or is there a place right outside the park ??

I am very interested in this as well because my 4 year old has some freakish phobia about fireworks!!! I don't want the 6 year old to miss out. From what I have read, you can sit out at the beach of pretty much any of the resorts on the Seven Seas Lagoon and see the fireworks. Hoping this is true. We are staying in a cabin at Ft. Wilderness in 2 weeks and it would be GREAT if we could see from there - I think the distance would really help calm my younger one.

I have read you can drive your own car, and I think we are going to do that just to save the hassle of the buses. We are staying @ POR and I am very nervous about the bus service.:scared1: Today read if you are a resort guest you can park in for free
