We will be going on our first DCL in 10 years in just two weeks. Can anyone suggest a good place to position ourselves for Pirate Night festivities? We have second dinner, so I know we will want to be smart about finding our spot promptly.

THANK YOU !!

With 8:15pm dining we didn’t get out till almost 10, by the time we got up deck for the show it was already packed. All the railings above were full also.
We just stayed toward the back and watched most of it on the screens. Looking at the stage, so on the right side were the fireworks, we were right there at the railing/stacked deck chairs and had a very good view of them. Only thing is we were almost trampled because so many rushed over to where we were at.

TBH, don't stress about seeing the show if the fireworks are your priority. If you want a good view of the fireworks, Deck 12, starboard side, between the railing and the stack of chairs across from the forward funnel. We heard the stage show just fine (probably better than most since we were behind the very loud speakers, we watched the performers run on and off stage since they come on and off through a door in the funnel, we had a front row view of the fireworks with no one in front of us and very few people close by and were able to make a quick escape to the forward elevators. Most of the main pool deck and upper rim were pretty full before we got there. It was just my wife and I and we had second seating.

You can try sneaking in right at the top of the stairs starboard side. You can still see the stage a bit and some performers go up and down the stairs and perform in front of the screen. And then the fireworks are right behind you and you have a quick escape when it's over.

@OhThePain @ljhayes - thank you for being specific. Would you say that was close to Wheezy's Freezies?

@enzy65 Thanks for the warning about the crowd crush! Good to know how late dinner will run.

I just realized I could open your photo. Thank you!

Yes. Not where the photo icon is right below Wheezy's but the one below that, mid funnel, is about the spot. I am not sure you can be closer to Wheezy's. I think that area was closed off because they shoot a lot of the fireworks from above there.
