We are having our reception in the yaght and Beach club, but we really want to watch the fireworks in Epcot afterwards. Has anyone done this trip from the Beach club? How far away is it to travel and how did u get there? I heard there is a private viewing area? Is that just if you're having your reception in Epcot? Can you pay extra for this?

The way to have a private viewing area for IllumiNations in Epcot is to have a dessert party (well, you can also serve dinner or appetizers - doesn't have to be dessert). You get a private area along the lake in one of the countries - judging by your party's size, you'd probably be in France or Italy.

The trip from the Beach Club Lobby to Epcot is about a 5-minute walk - very easy! It will be farther from the Yacht Club, of course. Maybe 10 minutes? You may be required to take a bus, however, depending on which country in Epcot's World Showcase you pick for your dessert party. Only a few of them are close enough to the International Gateway for Disney to allow you to walk in.

Well, I'll say UK and France, BUT DFTW has final say over whether or not you can walk in. They take into account factors like weather and distance and crowds when deciding what to allow.

Hi there!

We had our reception at Ariels at the BC. Half of us walked...(I did, I wanted to enjoy the experience of walking from the BC to Epcot with my wedding dress - not many people can say they've done that;) )

The rest walked to the BC entrance and took the bus. The walk was about 10 minutes tops. It was so worth it...we loved every minute of it!!! I will also add that those who took the bus got there much later. if everyone can walk, that's definitely the way to go!

Hope you can experience it too!:goodvibes
