Fireworks Help!

I want to photograph remember dreams come true. I know I need a tripod but does it have to be tall enough to see over peoples heads. Do people stand up or sit. At disney world they sit.

Since you are tilting the camera to the sky it shouldn't have to be taller than the people around you.

I'm not aiming at the sky I want to photograph the castle too.
