Fireworks From Whitehall Patio

I am getting married on NYE and having a NYE party after my actual reception. My reception will end at 11:00 PM and it is being held in a ballroom in the GF and then the after party is being held in the Whitehall Room/Patio from 11:00 to 1:00. I want to make sure we will see the fireworks from the MK. I've been told that we should see most of them but I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to watch the MK fireworks/wishes fromm this location and how they made out. If anyone could let me know, that would be great! Thanks!

Well I haven't actually watched them from there but at my site visit I noticed that you could see the castle in the distance from the patio but the view is partially obstructed by the monorail....I think it will be fine though mnost people should be able to see.

I was married on Nov 1, 2005 and we also had our reception at Whitehall. We lucked out and Wishes did occur on our wedding night (at 8 pm I believe--our reception was from 6 pm - 10 pm), which we were REALLY excited about! However, the view from the patio was sorta crappy. Very obstructed. I'd say you can see approximately half of the show (maybe a little more). We watched the show from the undercover portion of the patio on the far-left of the location. It wasn't very impressive and because of the obstructions, Randy (our photographer) wasn't able to get any really cool fireworks shots. I guess it's a nice perk (free fireworks show), but it really wasn't anything spectacular. We weren't able to hear any of the music either (this we had expected, though). It was also drizzling that night, so I'm not sure if that effects where they launch the fireworks from or not at MK.

Honeybun7677, the Whitehall Room and Patio Area were the backup location for my Summerhouse Party. Luckily, the weather on the night of my party was perfect so I didn't need to use the backup location. But I do have three photos to share that were sent to me by my EM. I just put them into one of my on-line albums so that you could view them. The photos aren't the greatest, especially the one that was taken of the view of the Magic Kingdom, but they're all I have. I hope they help.
