We are on the Dream, room 6590, which is starboard. I've read you can see the fireworks from the verandah on starboard side. Anyone had any experience with this? Also, I'm wondering the pros vs cons of watching from the verandah. We have 2 boys and thinking the show before will want to be seen. Is it just crazy crowded that people prefer to view from their verandah instead?

I am so not ship lingo savvy...how do you know which side is starboard? We are in room 6114 on the Dream...what does that mean? LOL

6114 is on the port (left) side. X0XX & X1XX are port side cabins. X5XX & X6XX are starboard side cabins.

We have found that watching from our starboard-side verandah cabin is superior to being on deck crammed with everyone. Our most recent cruises have had a delay between the show end and the fireworks start which allowed us to be on deck for the show and make it down to the cabin for the fireworks.

Thanks. How much of a delay would you say? Enough to get down to deck 6? I would HATE to try to hurry back down to find that we missed the fireworks or that we couldn't see them. What deck were you on?

I know that the fireworks can been seen from some starboard verandah rooms. BUT, some rooms receive a letter requesting that no one be on those verandahs during the fireworks. It has to do with the fallout from the fireworks.

There are usually 2 shows. One between the dinner times featuring Mickey and Friends.
Then the second show with Jack Sparrow which is followed immediately by the fireworks. This is to say, there is no way that you are not going to get from the deck to your room. Unless there is some reason for the technical delay. **Spoiler** Jack Sparrow sets the fireworks off as a way to defeat the other pirates who are coming to take over your cruise.**

The fireworks for us started immediately after the show. There wasn't time to do anything but turn around and watch them. Watch the show from the Deck above and its not as crowded and you can actually see the whole stage.

Thank you! That's what I worried about. Answers my question perfectly! We will try the deck above :)

We were just on the Dream last month. We had room 10648 which is starboard aft under the bump out from cabanas. Room was very nice and convenient. But the night of the fireworks it was pretty windy. We watch from deck 12 above the pool area. We had to look almost straigt up. I beleive it would have been almost impossible to see them from our verandah.
