Fireworks from Veranda?

We'll be on the Fantasy in February, taking the Western Caribbean cruise. Assuming there will be fireworks, will we be able to see them from our veranda? (We're in room 5038, that's port side, right, er, correct? LOL).

Our LO will be 20 months, and I doubt she will be able to stay up to see the fireworks herself, so at least one of us will be stuck in the room with her.

While the fireworks are viewable from some verandahs, if you're in a port side room, you won't be in one of those rooms. The fireworks are shot off the starboard side. Some rooms get a letter in them requesting no on be on the verandah during the fireworks (due to fall out).

Yes, all of the fireworks equipment is set up for starboard side firing. Once the little one goes to bed, you can create your own fireworks by joining the verandah club.

No, you're not. That poster is the recruiting officer for the verandah club, I think.

We had a verandah on the starboard side last year and was hoping to see the fireworks, but we were not able to any of them. I guess unless you want to avoid bring home a little souvenir 9 months later, I would not joining the verandah club as mentioned in a previous post and go up on deck and watch them where you can really see them. If your worried about your little one wanting to sleep, we have always put our grandson in a stroller the last 3 years. This year he will be 4 and to old for a stroller, hopefully, he will be able to last until the fireworks are over.

Our guy almost made it to the fireworks... almost. At 31 months he just ended up falling asleep no matter how hard we tried to get him to stay awake. The show did not wake him up while we held him. Oh well. He'll have another opportunity soon enough!

We've been on the Fantasy twice in a starboard side balcony room (Deck 8) and watched the fireworks both times from the veranda. If you go out there, be sure to close the door during the fireworks. Also don't leave anything flammable on the balcony, as we have seen glowing embers fall back to the balcony below us that sticks out farther (I think that's Deck 5).

Unfortunately no, because you are on the port side, so much of the ship will still be blocking your view.
