DS4 and DS6 have been scared of fireworks ever since the 4th of July, 2001. Since then they have caught glimpses of fireworks from afar, and don't seem to be as afraid as they were. Where would be a good place to view the fireworks outside the MK, where they wouldn't be quite so loud?

You can view them from various locations around the MK hotels. I have seen them myself from the Poly.

I have watched the fireworks from the Poly and enjoyed them very much. The beach makes a very relaxed way to watch them and after, on certain nights you can watch the Electical water parade.

bump on the GF .. if you get a good view of the MK you can watch them from your balcony

Anyway ... where are you staying?

'Cause if you stay in the Contemporary you can walk to the end of the hall and theres a door that says exit .. go out there and there's some stairs climb up there and your ontop of the roof... Great view. We watched the water parade from there and it was a good view!

that's part of the inquiry.. We are booked right now at CBR, but are trying to get a discount at WL. I don't really want to book a room just for fireworks location, so I was wondering where we could go and not infringe on another resort's guests. I have had some bad responses (totally understandable-but really I AM that naiive!) about pool hopping(I know it is unacceptable, and would not do it) and parking (I really didn't know that parking at some of the nicer resorts was a problem, but boy did I get jumped on for asking about it!) so I am wondering if it is ok to wander around the resort if I am not a guest. (Please be nice to me folks, I really don't know what is ok, and what isn't! That's why I'm asking instead of just doing!) thanks for the info!!:wave2:

We watched Wishes from Ohana's at the Poly and it was an awesome perspective - my DD even remarked "it's like they were made to be seen from back here!" - we had already watched them from Main St (also great!) - you just really get the feel for how the fireworks are coordinated and centered over the castle (of course you miss the special effects on the castle itself).

While waiting for our table we walked all around the Poly and down to the beach with no problem at all - I can not imagine who we would have been bothering/inconveniencing, but it was not a busy time of year, either. If we had not gotten such an awesome table right next to the window, our plan was to eat up and watch from the beach - in fact, I'll be doing that sometime in the future, I'm sure.:smooth:

We watched Wishes from the beach at the Poly. We grabbed sandwiches for supper from, sorry, can't remember the snack "shop" inside. We took the food out to the beach to eat. It was really windy, and chilly that night (end of March, who would have guessed?) It was hard to eat with teeth chattering! But the view was great, the soundtrack is piped in so you can hear everything. We had seen the show two nights earlier in the park, so it was a cool perspective!

You may be interested in joining myself and ducklite's (Anne's) family on the yacht the Grand One on July 4th. It leaves out of GF and tours then we get to see the fireworks from the lake. As far as I know there is little noise. My DS (6) also hates loud noises and wears his "puffs" (like headphones). Anyway, you won't be overstepping your bounds, we get to the TTC first because we can grab the monorail from GF and we are all from DIS!:D
If you are interested, send ducklite a PM.

Hope to see you there. :bounce:

How many days...? Let's see.:p

I like to watch the fireworks from the ticket and transportation center. Sometimes if you time the ferry right you can watch it on the ferry.(Very cool) I always watch them from afar becasue I can't handle the crowd on the way out of MK after the fireworks.
