Fireworks/Fantasmic timing question

I am working on our touring plan and am perplexed by a timing issue that I know you DIS experts should be able to answer easily!

Can we watch the fireworks from the hub and then make it for the second Fantasmic show dessert seating? If it was just for seating I'd presume the answer is yes, but we have to check in...can one of us do that before the fireworks or is the check in for the second show after the first show? Everything I have read about dessert seating seems to just reference the first show so I am unsure how logistics work for the second showing.

Thanks for your assistance!

You can check in for the second show at the same time as those checking in for the first show. I learned the lesson the hard way the first time we did the dessert seating. Get there early to sign in our you will be sitting 3rd row. And with our luck, behind the very tall family. Since you are checked in and seat assigned, you can slip in a few minutes before F! starts to get your drink and dessert box before the show starts

Oh perfect! That is exactly what I was hoping. Thank you very much :)

I think what we are going to do is start camping in the hub for the evening parade and then go in shifts for rides/dinner until the fireworks. We will be there Christmas week, so I expect a packed park. There should be plenty of time to check in and get back into the hub before the fireworks.

Since you are there at Christmas time, you may want to do the Holiday tour instead of the F! package or both if in your budget. We do the late Holiday and we get lots of cool info on the park, front of the line for Haunted Mansion AND Small World. Then they give you reserved seats for the Parade with cocoa and a gingerbread mouse and collectable pin. It's about the same as F! but is a better way to use your time and money during the holidays. There are always spots to see F! at the last minute...

That's a great suggestion, but my sister in law has her heart set on the Fantasmic seating. Our two families are taking the trip together (9 people!) so I have to plan things that she wants to do. If it were up to me, we would be off on rides enjoying the short lines while people are watching shows.

That said, we are going to do the Welcome to Disneyland tour, which I expect to be lots of fun.
