Cleaning out a desk today and ran across a receipt from the Fireworks Factory. I had totally forgotten about this place. We've been going to Disney since 1977.

We never went. It was there on our first trip in 1996 but in the next couple of years was gone.

That is so funny. We just moved and when I was unpacking I found my "shot glass collection" from way back when I was not allowed to have shots of any kind. Found a Pleasure Island shot glass (with the dancing moon guy on it) with a receipt inside from 1994.

RIP Adventurer's Club.

I remember the Fireworks Factory! Fun place. Good food. Really odd men's room.

I am pretty sure I still have a FF pick around somewhere from one of my meals there. Are used to love to go for a late lunch.

I miss that there was an actual Captain Morgan roaming around like Mickey Mouse, and the giant ice blocks that they poured shots down. What about Mannequins with the rotating dance floor or the Pleasure Island dancers?

We loved it there. I think my parents still have some swizzle sticks we got there.

I loved Pleasure Island. Nothing like walking around on a random Saturday night to find KC and the Sunshine Band (or some other county fair level act like LoverBoy) playing on the West End Stage. Good times.
