Fireworks dining?

I'm really considering an intimate, and was thinking about having the "rehearsal" at night so it coincides with Wishes. (I want to have the Illuminations dessert reception another night). Anyway, the only restaurant I could think of was California Grill, but have heard some hints from past threads about places at GF where you can see the fireworks. I'm not interested in V&A (too pricey and we have a couple little ones in attedance). Any suggestions? :confused3 Oh, we might have between 20-25, so they must be able to accommodate. Thanks

Hello,

If you like seafood you could always try Narcoosees at the GF. They have a large balcony outside, and I believe they pipe in the music outdoors, but not in the restaurant. Some tables by the windows can also see the fireworks. The boat dock there to MK is also a great place to watch. However, having seen wishes from both the GF and California Grill, the CG offers a much better view in my opinion! Hope that helps :)

I do love CG for fireworks views for sure :thumbsup2 Sometimes I watch them from inside if I have a window table other times I go out onto the viewing decks - all good fun.

I've eaten in Narcoosees a couple of times whilst the fireworks are on and they do pipe the music in - the problem is that everyone will stand in front of you out on the verandah so you may as well go out there and see them.

There are two tables for four at Citricos where you can just see a little of Wishes - otherwise there's a great loacation out on the Marina where you can see them too, but no music at either location.

Those are great places--I don't know your budget, but maybe eating at Ohanas in time to finish and walk on the beach to watch the fireworks? Narcosees was a bit expensive when we ate there and it really isn't very large--it might be difficult to seat that large of a party

If you plan an Ohanas reservation around the time that the fireworks are (about 1/2 hour before they start), you can eat at the restaurant, and watch the fireworks out the window if you get a table with a view. They also pipe in the music to the restaurant. We did this on our honeymoon and it was really great!

What about a fireworks cruise and dinner before? Just an idea.

you can see the mk fireworks from window tables & the verandah at narcossees at the grand floridian.

you can also see the mk fireworks in the distance at ohanas at the polynesian which is a family style buffet & accomodates groups well with big tables.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We are doing our welcome dinner at O'hanas, dinner since it is DF fav restaurant, which is funny b/c he was hesitant to eat there since he is somewhat of a picky eater. We are going down in May so we'll try out the CF and look into the fireworks cruise. Thanks once again :wave2:
