Hi!

Trying to decide what would be the better choice. I'm going for romance.

I understand Illuminations is closer, but the Disney agent informed me Wishes is quite beautiful with the reflections of fireworks on the water. She said she preferred Wishes to Illuminations cruise.

Can you see tinkerbell from the Wishes cruise? My fiance got pretty excited when she heard tinkerbell "flies".

Whichever cruise I don't take, I'll be seeing the other night time show in a very crowded park.

hmmmm.... help me out please!

The IllumiNations Cruise can be a more "engaging" experience.

The boats can hold about 8-10 adults plus a couple of children

If your party is smaller, you can usually find some other DIS members who would like to share the ride (and the cost).

It can be very tricky to get in to book a cruise, as there are so few boats available, they tend to get snapped up almost immediately as they reach the earliest booking date.

And, because you are actually IN Epcot with the I-cruise, you get to experience the full "surround audio" that is so much a part of the IllumiNations show.

Just for comparison-
You can get an identical view (albeit among many other guests) if you watch from the bridge between UK and France (#6 below.)

The boats from the I-Cruises all tie up beneath (#7 below) that bridge to view the show.

I'm pretty sure I'd rather do Illuminations, thanks for the great post Robo!

The only thing I'm concerned about is being tied up under the bridge so close to other people, kind of defeats the purpose maybe? hmmm

I've done the illuminations cruise twice, it was wonderful both times. Even though you are close to other people it still feels very private. I cannot compare the Illuminations cruise to Wishes, but I don't think you would be able to see Tink fly from the boat..

I would pick Illuminations. You just get closer to the action!
