We did the Illuminations Fireworks Cruise during our Nov 2005 trip. It was great. There were seven of us. The pontoon holds ten so we had plenty of room. We did it as a birthday gift as one member of our party was turning 41 that day and since we were not able to do a big 40th the year before we were making up for lost time. I also had white chocolate cinderella slippers filled with chocolate mousse and a bottle of chardoney arranged to be on board. If the cost is not going to make you skimp on other things that you want to try/do then go for it as it was a great experiance.
We've got our third Wishes cruise booked for Sept. Worth every penny! We've done the Magical Gatherings one and the pontoon boat one. Check out www.allearsnet.com for info on this as well. There are 2 different sized boats, one will hold 10 one will hold 12 (depends on the number of adults and children as well...more kids, less adults...more people). The cost is $250 per boat I think.
I have a wishes cruise booked for our trip in August. The boat that I was able to reserve holds 8 people and the cost is $200.00. You should also plan on a tip for the driver (captain? ) of 20 to 25 % the night of the cruise. We did it last year and absolutely LOVED IT!!! It was well worth the money. They give a very interesting tour before they park to watch the fireworks. I highly recommend it!
We actually did this last Tuesday night - it was awesome - you could also reserve a boat with the music from Wishes that you'd hear in the park piped in - it was an extra $50 for this - we all thought it was well worth it for the extra perk.
