Hi everyone!
We are currently working with Randy Chapman for our intimate wedding. We have discussed with him purchasing one of his custom packages for our intimate and plan to use him throughout the entire day, from getting ready to dinner and fireworks after.

My question is what do you think we should do for our pictures in front of the fireworks. We were thinking about renting out the Grand 1, but I'm wondering if that would work well for pictures. There's always the marina by the Grand Floridian but I'm a little worried about it being crowded.

Any other options that you can think of?

Thanks in advance!
Ashley

You DO NOT (!!!) want the Grand Floridian marina for any function!

We had a scheduled dessert party there as our rehearsal. We moved when we realized what our inclement weahter back-up was: Salon 8. No windows. No fireworks. No nothing.

You can look into a tent, but they run around $5,000 and will be up rain or shine. If you have a smaller party, one of the girls here has mentioned using one of the suites at the GF. If you're party is small enough, it might be a great option as there are bars in the suites, too. At 36, we were too large a party. I am assuming if you're talking about using the Grand I, you could have an appropriate sized group to consider that option.

Also, at the marina there is a $300 fee to pipe the music in. Depending on the formality of your wedding (we're black tie, so this was an issue), they wear white shirts and gold vests as service uniforms.

If you want the menu pricing and options for the dessert parties at the GF, PM me with your email address and I will pull them out of archives in my email! Hope this helps!

What size group are you thinking about? We did the Grand One after the wedding and we feel that we got some fantastic photos from Randy. Everything we got from Randy was fantastic, what am I thinking. :)

We would have 12 people, including Randy. I was just worried about it being hard to shoot photos on the boat, but your reply helped. Thank you!
