Fireworks and Autism

We have decided to do MK on a party night in Nov. My grandson as Autism and can only last so long in any park, so leaving the park an hour or so early is nota big deal. But we would like to see the fireworks on one of our days off from a resort. Where can we do that, and what’s the best option?

If you'd like to view the fireworks from outside the park (which means you'll be missing the projections on the castle), my favorite location is the ferry dock at the TTC. DH and I discovered that location by accident, one night when we left MK early to get ahead of the crowds! Disney pipes in the music, and there's a great view of the castle (too far away to see projections, I'm afraid) and the fireworks around it.

Other locations for watching MK fireworks are the beach at the Poly, the marina and boat dock at GF, and Geyser Point at WL. The music plays there, too, and snacks and drinks are nearby as well.

Edited to add: For Harmonious at Epcot, you can see the highest fireworks from the bridge between BC and BW, near the IG, and also from Topolino's deck at Riviera (but I think you need to have an ADR at Topolino's to go out there).

I also have kiddos that need to see them from further away. We have done the beach at the fort wilderness campground (they pipe in the music) and they really enjoyed them from that spot. We were staying there but I think you can be at the beach whether or not you are a guest (someone correct me if I am wrong).

you can be on beach at the Fort if not staying but you would have to take internal bus from front as no car parking in that area of the Fort

Is it possible for one adult to leave early with the kid and the rest stay for fireworks?

If not, the best place to watch them is from the dock at the Grand Floridian.

get a noise cancelling headphone, it can help with kids that have sensory issues. then you might try going back to the parks only for the fireworks if that is an option for your family

Where are you staying?

You can not drive to a resort you are not staying at for fireworks view without an ADR for dinner at the resort.

You can use Disney transportation, in that case I'd bus/monorail/boat to:
- the beach at POLY
- the ferry boat dock at TTC

You can park at MK parking lot and watch from the ferry boat dock at TTC or walk over to POLY
OR
You could park at Disney Springs and take a resort bus to POLY

Walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary Resort. 4th floor, Concourse, you can go outside next to the bridge to Bay Lake Towers there are even benches to sit on overlooking the Magic Kingdom.

We had to leave quickly one evening just before the fireworks (due to autistic teen) and ended up seeing them just outside the park entrance (as we walked to the ferry they started). Turned out to be an amazing spot (can't remember if we had music - I think we did). But it was nice and quiet and we were first in the line for the ferry and didn't have to deal with crowds leaving the park.
