Firework Viewing

We were at DL this past November. We watched the fireworks once after Fantasmic from our Fantasmic spot and once from Autotopia area. We are going again in 2 weeks. Do you get a different/ better viewing experience if you watch the FW from in front of the castle? Can you sit or do you stand in front of the castle?

All down Main Street, the train platform, and the hub-- basically anyplace in front of the castle, but especially with a clear view of the castle and of the Matterhorn. These are the best views, because they do some projections on the front of the castle and the Matterhorn. You can't see those projections from elsewhere in the park. Also, there's a few lower firework effects that you can't see as well. And, you can't see Tinkerbelle flying from elsewhere!

We watched it once from the hub, and once from our spot after Fantasmic. While the view from F! was still good, it's really meant to be seen from Main Street and the hub. It's worth it to get a good spot and watch it from there, at least once during your stay.

Watching the fireworks from any area not in the hub or down Main Street is really just watching any old random fireworks show that you can see at any random place that does fireworks.

The show was specifically designed to be seen from the hub/Main Street. There are assorted visual effects that are only visible on the castle and the Matterhorn. If you cannot see either one of those landmarks, then you're not "properly" experiencing the show. There are some areas in the hub where you can stand and there are some where you can sit, but you will be able to sit for most of your wait before the show begins.

We watched the fireworks from the Matterhorn. We didn't see many but the ones we saw while flying by were amazing!
