DM suggested that we take a special Firework cruise at Disney. Where you can watch Wishes or Illuminations and such. It would be me, mom, dad, Amanda, and Blane. Does something like this exist? And has anyone done this?
Any input?

Thanks!

I did the Illuminations cruise for my sweet sixteen 2 years ago. They do them on the pontoon boats. Mine had balloons and my parents had a cake made for me. After illuminations was over they are not allowed to go and cruise around World Showcase Lagoon however they are allowed to take you by DHS and the Boardwalk. It was so much fun.

I have also done the Wishes cruise. It was on Grand 1. If your family has a little money i would try and do the Wishes cruise on Grand 1. They serve you dinner and drinks out the wazoo. It can hold a maximum of 17/18 people. However if your not willing to spend $720- $960 they do have pontoon boats just like the illuminations that go out for a cruise. It is wonderful but you don't get that same close up view as you do the illuminations cruise.

If you can get a large enough group together, find a charter boat where someone qualified drives the boat. It's a madhouse out on the water those nights and if you aren't experienced it's hair-raising. Just search 'charter boats vancouver ' and there they are. Sewell's rents mostly very small boats and Horseshoe Bay where they are located is pretty far from Vancouver in a small boat in the dark.

I'd just like to point out this thread is about WDW Cruises, not Vancouver... this is a DISNEY forum :lmao:

Me and my family did the Illuminations cruise back in March or April 2007 :) Its amazing and a really great way of seeing the fireworks...

You can share the boat with other families to share the cost but if your family can afford it, do it just yourselves because it makes it that much more personal and fun... we did it just us five so it means we had the whole boat to ourselves and the captain... and the captains are all really nice and make it very fun... because our night was quite cold being early spring :)

Hope that helps :)
