I would recommend it over Firefox.
Right now I have been switching in between Opera and Firefox. I like them both.

I used to use firefox but then every once in a while,it wouldn't recognize me and I'd have to start over. That meant that I lost all of my favorites. It happened 2x and I started over but when it happened again-no way.

Had that happen 4 or 5 times before I finally deleted it and went back to IE.

One of the neat bits about Firefox is that all my Bookmarks are shared among all three computers I use frequently. I add a Bookmark to one, and automatically all three have the new Bookmark. Very cool.

yahoo tollbar does this too.
microsoft also has a web based browser (saves favs buttons etc online) called MSN explorer. It is a bit quirky if you don't use MSN as your isp, so we stopped using it

I have hit a bunch of sites that simply don't work with Firefox, though. 97% of people use IE, so websites don't really need to worry about being compatible with Firefox. The one I have the most problem with is Amazon.com -- that actually suprised me a bit.

Amazon surprised me too Other websites such as some of DD's educational stuff and local homeschool groups weren't compatible either. Also an online novel I was reading.

Simple fix.... save your favorites to a file then you will ALWAYS have them.

A good bit of web sites don't show up properly with firefox. My dad is an IT guy though and says it's more secure.
