Firefox users and DIS posts...

It was driving me crazy...every time I posted to the DIS, my paragraphs and line breaks disappeared. I realized that it only happens whe I post at work, where I use Firefox. tried switching to IE and formatting is fine.

Do any DISers post from Firefox and do you have a way around this issue? I am using the latest release on Windows 7 Pro.

I have always used Firefox on the Dis and have not seen the problems you are describing.

Is it maybe something with the computer, instead of the browser?

Never have had that issue on Firefox and that is all I use on all my computers. So, I am thinking it might be an issue on your end somewhere.

The only problem I have on Firefox and the Dis is that it never keeps me logged in. I ask it to but it doesn't work, at least at home. At work we use FF and it always keeps me logged in, even when I try to log out.....lol

No problem with line breaks here. But try a different color skin. I've noticed some formatting changes with different color skins. With some skins the font sizes or margins are all off. Fonts that should be extra small appear larger. I change the skin and those same fonts are fine. This happens particularly with signatures and the fonts under avatars. With some of those fonts in different skins, they are HUGE. Often larger than the fonts in the posts.

One problem I particularly have since a since I upgraded to a higher version of Firefox a while back is that I've had to switch to the vBulletin skin. I have my Firefox set to magnify & enlarge the fonts and it throws the formatting of the forum pages off. The top right "Welcome" box with the Private Messages notification no longer fits on my screen in any of the colors except for vBulletin, where it right margins up with the rest of the page below.

Firefox is nothing but problems for me on forums. Chrome or IE only.

Try clearing your cookies in FF. It is in a different place than IE & Chrome.

Firefox is a hog. I use Chrome it is much faster than FF.

I use IE at work, Firefox at home, and Safari on my iPad. They all work basically the same.
