Has anyone used them? Are they just as good as the larger companies? Did anyone also get a carseat? How are those?

Hope someone can help :surfweb:

I'm going to give them a shot!

I got a midsize for $115. The normal car rental places are still around 400-500 for a compact! Thats just insane!

Only there from 17-23rd of April. This is their one shot. Reviews have been about 50/50. Some of the bad reviews I have read have been normal stuff that happens at all car rental places. We will see.

We rented from them for our Feb. vacation. The rate was excellent, less than half what I would have paid for any other company. Checking in at the counter was very typical except we didn't have anyone in front of us which I can't say for the 10 or so people in the Hertz line.

The car was located beyond the Hertz cars, so there was a longer walk than any other companies I have used.

The car had some dings and maybe 50,000 miles, but it ran well and was very good on gas. I initially thought something was wrong with the gas gauge because it wasn't moving, but it was fine.

Returning was as easy as any other company. There was an attendant there. I had to walk over to their kiosk with the man to get the receipt. We were charged the rate quoted and the man was very pleasant and friendly.

I recommended them to some friends who just got back from WDW last week and didn't have any problems either. They also were able to get a great same day rate.

We will use them again if they have the best rates.

I rented from Firefly for a short trip in January.

I had no problems. The employee at the counter asked me to upgrade and tried to sell me the insurance, I politely, but firmly said no to both and that was it.

I was given a VW Jetta with about 30,000 miles. The car was in very good condition, and I was happy to get a great deal on the car. I won't hesitate to use them again.

Just checked in a few hours ago with them. Let me just say this...it was virtually flawless. There was no wait. They tried to upsell us two other larger models which we didnt take. They would have been 300-500 bucks cheaper than the other major renters if we would have taken it. They tried thegas and the insurance as well which I declined. This is no different than the major players.

We were on our way within five minutes. The walk was no further than others. Opposite side of Hertz. We ended up with a Chevy Sonic sedan with 4400 miles. It was almost brand new. There was only one person checking usin and out. Once again five minutes and we were on our way.

We got this car for 118 for April 17th -23rd. The others were over $300+ more for the same time.

There was a $200 deposit so people know. I would definitely rent from them again!

RUN, RUN, RUN AWAY. I used a online rental service and was quoted $55/week, with taxes, $89.++ for a Ford Focus. When I took the shuttle to the their location, in a hotel adjacent to strip club. I was quoted significantly higher, I argued, telling them of my quote, they asked to see the reservation, even though they had the reservation on their computer screen, I pulled the reservation up on my phone. Eventually I was given the quoted rate. They proceed to give me a Mazda 2, A tiny little car, equivalent of a Ford Fiesta. I was tired and I took the car.
Later that Night, at a stoplight in Clearwater, I WAS PULLED OVER BY THE POLICE, FOR HAVING TAGS ON THE CAR OVER 6 MONTHES EXPIRED, and I received a warning. Please note the plates showed current according to the stickers. I took the car back the next morning, I was given a excuse about the car being from out of state, and the Florida plates on the car were not transferred to the car yet. The Police officer did not say that the tags were for another car, but, they were expired. I finally received a larger car, a Chevy Cruze, not a bad car, no complaints there.
When I brought the car back, again I was told that they were billing a higher rate. Again I told them of the rental rate, and once again, they asked to see my rental paperwork. Once again, I brought the rental reservation up on the phone, finally after several minutes, they actually billed me at the rental rate.
To recap; twice they tried to bill at a higher rate than quoted, rented me a car quite a bit smaller than quoted, and the car had ILLEGAL TAGS
