Tuesday, September 10th

When the phone rang at 7:30 it was Mickey's voice on the other end! We quickly got up and showered. We made our way to the food court where we toasted some poptarts from home and filled up our new mugs.
Okay - I must admit - our first day we went to Universal Studios. My reasoning - it was suppose to be open an hour later the first week we were there. Figured we may need that extra hour. Turns out only Islands of Adventure was open the extra hour not Universal which to me doesn't make since as much more to do at US than IoA.
Drove to Universal only missing the right exit a few times. By the time we arrived it was 9:30. The first rides we did were Back to the Future, Men in Black and ET. We loved all 3.
For lunch we just ate bagels we had packed. We did snack on funnel cake and ice cream!
We loved Universal. The lines were nonexistant. We were the only ones on the Woody Coaster!
We acutally ran out of time. We would have liked to redo some rides. There were so many shows to see it was hard to fit them all in.
We left 5:45. The park closed at 6. We ate dinner at Margariteville. We both had sandwiches/fries and of course margaritas! It was okay but nothing to write home about. We looked around Citywalk a bit.
The plan was to spend some time in the bars at Citywalk but it was only 7:30 and the parks were closed and we were saving our shopping $ for DS so not much else to do with the bars not hopping until 9 or 10.
Decided just to head back to Disney. We stop in at the West Side. Bought some fudge at the candy store and browsed for awhile. Drove back to ASM and went for a swim. In bed about 11.

I still haven't done Universal in all of my trips - but someday I will actually leave Disney and get there - thanks for posting!

:D Back to the Future is my absolute favorite ride anywhere! We also ran out of time at Universal because it closed at 6:00 the day we went. We missed out on a couple of things and I would have loved to try MIB and Back to the Future again. Guess we will just have to go back!
