Finishing Budget for upcoming trip - Take a look, thoughts?

DH and I are getting excited about our up coming trip Romantic Christmas trip Dec. 2011.

5 nights at POFQ - with DDXDP - 1800.00 - Paid in full ( we are AP holders so no Park tickets.

We are driving so most likely 2 meals each way. 100 to 125
Tips, Adult Beverages -100.00 a day - 500.00
Souvenirs - This will much more than normal as we will picking up some Christmas gifts. Hoping to keep it around 300.00 no more than 400.00
Supplies for the road and room, 100. to 150. - Water, Soda, snacks, Adult beverages.
So about 2000.00 should do it.

The one thing I saw was...do you need much in the way of snacks, water, pop in the room if you are on Deluxe? That budget sounds rather high.

That's what I was thinking. When DH and I got the Deluxe plan on our last trip, we were always so stuffed, we forgot about the 2 snack credit per person, per day. Maybe you should use your snack credits towards water bottles, chips, candy, etc. It would lower your budget by a little bit, plus anything you have left over, you can take with you on the road back home to eat

We have already paid for the room and DDXDP - So I was just thinking about what I need $$ for the trip itself. So I was thinking between 1500 to 2000, I rather have money left over to starting saving for another trip.

I have problems with my low blood sugar levels, so I have to have the right food on hand. The 100 to 150 is for our whole trip which will be 10 days which 5 nights will be at WDW, the other was visiting with family and friends. I guess I should have made that clearer.

My thoughts are that for 1800 at a mod seems high.
Basically you are paying for all that food. I sure hope you are foodies because it is a LOT of food and a LOT of time thats not spent enjoying rides at parks. Rest sounds good to me.....Xmas gifts at the parks for holidays is awesome, save LOTS of room or be prepared to SHIP it I had to buy an extra suitcase and still had to ship

DH and I are foodies, we enjoy signature dining, so this was the way to go for us this time, no kids, no rushing, just time to enjoy each other and soak up some of the magic.

It sounds about right to me. At first I was thinking $100 to $150 for meal on the road was a bit high, but since you siad you would be visiting family I can see the need for that.

That is about what Dh and I will have for our January trip. We are staying at BWI for 3 nights with DxDDP and 4 nights at BWV with DDP. I have to take soda with us to have in the room fridge, because DH has to have one in his hand at all times.
