Finished the Minnie 5k and now attempting the Princess 1/2 - Am I nuts!?!

Sorry to hear about the sales over the weekend, but congrats on completing week 4! Awesome job!

Have fun in WDW!! I saw a picture of the castle all decorated in Christmas lights the other day and it looks AWESOME...(not jealous or anything...:rolleyes1 )
 
Sorry to hear the sales weren't so good this weekend! But spending quality time with your mom/sis was probably great!!!

5 days till WDW for you!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: You must be so excited! I leave in 19 days and I am already excited myself, I can only imagine how I will feel 5 days before!!!

WTG on your training!! You are doing great, and will be so ready for the race in May.

Morning everyone!!
I started and completed W5D1 today!!! It honestly wasn't as bad as i had expected.. LOL, i dropped my jogging down a lil to 4.7 vs. 4.9/5.0, and it made a difference with my breathing.. especially since i am going "longer" minutes.
I also start Yoga tonight.. really looking forward to it!

I am off today - and dd is back in school , and dh is back in work, so i will catch up with everyones journals later today - promise!!

Thanks for all your support -- it really really helps me get thru it!
 
Look at you go, Stacy! Week 5 now - that's amazing - can you even beleive how far you've come? You're right about dropping the speed down a bit when you've got farther to go - it makes such a huge difference for me as well.

I keep starting a PM to you, and keep getting called away before it gets finished....I'm going to try again!

Have a great, super, deluxe day with a little bit of packing on top!

Morning everyone! Well, i completed W5D2! :woohoo: And, truth be told, it wasn't all that bad! LOL .. however, Next i am supposed to jog 2 miles/ 20 min without stopping! Yikes....
Hopeing i manage that ok, since i am planning on doing that on Friday- and we leave at 4:30 am (yes, you read that right -- 4:30am) on Sat. for WDW.. hoping my legs won't be sore - as we are planning on hitting the MK Sat. :goodvibes

Also, went to an almost 2 hr. Yoga class last night with my MIL.. That was nice.. it felt good to stretch and breathe. ;)

Thats about it i guess, i'm at work today trying to get my shop decorated for Christmas and tie up loose ends before i go! :dance3:
 
:cheer2: Yeah! Great job on Day 2! Glad to hear it wasn't too bad! 4:30! WOW! I am so jealous though! I hope you have a great time at WDW! Are you trying any new places to eat? You're staying at the Poly right? Will you be eating at O'hana?

I wish I could find time to fit Pilates in!!! I need to learn how to stretch really good! It makes you feel so good!

Yay W5D2!!!! You will be surprised at how you are able to run for 20 minutes on Friday. I remember being seriously doubtful, but really, the work you have done the past 4 1/2 weeks has prepared you for it.

That is early to be leaving for the airport. I hope it all goes super-smoothly for you!

Stacie - yes, we are eating at Ohana's (for the Lilo/Stitch breakfast) on the last morning we are there (nov.25th), We also are eating at Kona Cafe, b/c i just HAVE to try that Tonga Toast!!! LOL
Also have to try a dole whip, that is on my food "to-do" list. LOL
And yes, 4:30 am is early, but we have to be at the airpt. by 5:15, and then our flight leaves at 7:15. And, to be honest, i love it that way! LOL, then we land in Orlando at 10:30, so we bascially have all day.. the MK is open til midnight so we are gonna party hardy! LOL ;) Can't wait!!

Congrats on your success with the training. You have come so far, so fast. Time is kinda tight for me right now, so if I don't make it back to your journal, have an incredible trip. I agree with your philosophy. I love the early flight, leisurely lunch at the resort, then hit the parks. I don't feel like I waste a day traveling.

Hi Stacy, your trip is so close, I hope you have a wonderful time! I love early departures, I can never sleep anyway since I am so excited! Enjoy your dole whip, I love those things! And congrats on completing w5d2 (I need to find out what this thing is everyone is doing). Keep up the excellent work, you'll be amazed at how much easier doing the parks is since you are in such great shape now!

Well,i did it! I just booked me and my mom to do the Minnie 5k in May!! We did it as a team - even though i am hoping to run it and she will most likely be walking.. So, our team name is the "Minnie Mamas"! :thumbsup2
We also have our flights all set, and our hotel booked, for Port Orleans Riverside. (Sis is doing the 15k, and MIL and dd is also coming), We are arriving on Thursday night 5/01, and then staying til late Monday 5/05 - so we will have 4 full days. So, it's official! Now i HAVE to do this! :scared1: :yay: ;)
Today is very slooooow at work, i am bored out of my mind, and very antsy.. i still have stuff to pack. I just went to WM before work and bought a new pair of jeans - down to my previous size! :banana: (gonna throw my "big" ones out!! Yes, it's only 2 sizes, but it's something! Now,if i can just get down 2 more! Mark my words -- by May i will be!
Tomorrow is my W5D3, and i am scared.. i am supposed to do 20 min straight of jogging! :scared1: But, i am keepin' the faith! Then i gotta work tomorrow, come home and finish packing tomorrow night, and TRY to go to bed somewhat early, b/c the inlaws will be picking me and dd up at 4:30 am Sat. :woohoo:
After us being soooooo sick last year in WDW, i have the basis covered (i think), i have been choking down some AirBorne (sorry, i just don't care for this stuff), packed 4 small bottles of Purell, and also a package of Antibacterial wipes. Can't be too prepared! :rolleyes1 I am NOT going to get sick and ruin this trip!!
I might stop and get dd something else to try tonight though, as she just CAN'T seem to get that Airborne stuff down.. :rolleyes:

Hey Stacy--WTG on your c25k training!!! You are doing so awesome!! You can so do the 20 minutes of jogging tomorrow...remember you can slow down a little to get the running in.

I agree about getting an early start when going down to Disney. I prefer an early morning flight, as I get there and have pretty much the whole day. Unfortunately for my upcoming trip in a few weeks, i don't fly out until 6:30 at night since I have to work all day, but oh well, at least it isn't too late!

Keep up the good work!! Can't wait to hear how your run goes tomorrow!

That is so exciting you officially registered for the Minnnie 5k! My sis and I are doing it to... hmmm. Do we need a name? Any suggestions? Scott coined us a long time ago the Journaling Sisters...maybe I'll use that? I'm waiting for a few more weeks before I register us. She is going to ask my mom and dad if they want to go in May w/ us so if they say YES, I'm going to try to convince my mom to the 5K too.

So, again, Hope you guys have a great trip! Wish we were going!!! Oh yeah, do you have dinners planned???

Morning everyone! I DID IT!! I did W5D3, which (for those who aren't familiar), is warm up of 5min and then jog for 20 min! Well, i did stop about 1/2 way thru for about 1min or so, to have a quick couple sips of H20, but other than that i ran about 19 min!! :cool1: My legs are a lil' bit tired, but otherwise i feel good! I did it on the TM, and i need to find a way to zone out and not torture myself by looking at the timer. LOL :lmao:
This will probably be my last post here on my journal til i get back on the 26th. I will probably repeat W5, b/c i doubt i will be running on vacation - lets be real. :rotfl:
So, at least i am leaving on a positive note and feel great!

Well, you are probably in WDW already!! But, I wanted to say WTG on your training that is so awesome!!

As for not staring at the timer on the TM, when I workout on the TM, I put my towel over the timer so I can't see it, and I don't think about it.
