No, not since I've been around these boards anyways. They used to have FD beginning of the year with dates Jan-Mar, but they did away with that a few years ago as well.

Disney just sent me an email with a discount code and that code include my week is in the room discount only. I'm happy now lol

So check your emails for the people that their weeks are in the blackout dates.

I was talking about room only discount not FD . The discount room the dates are blackout after Nov 5 and the email that I receive with the code include days after Nov 5. Some people were in the same situation as me in the thread that were in the blackout dates for discounts that Disney offer so maybe they received also an email.

I got the UOC as well. Was able to use it for our Nov reservation. (Ok I booked a new reservation and cancelled the old one no way was I going to sit on the phone for hours)

I believe the fd offer is the same, but when you check special offers and you are Canadian, the dates start Aug. 14. The beginning date for Americans is Aug. 23, but DV holders also can get fd as early as Aug. 14th.

Do they ever offer free dining for Canadians for spring dates? We're going in May 2017. Or is it typically a 'spring discount' like they have right now?

We live in Canada and we had free dining in April of 2012. We were there the 14th- 21st and we stayed at the Poly. We are planning last week of April, first week of May of 2017, so free dining would be wonderful - but we aren't counting on it and will just pay OOP each day for food if necessary. Eating is a necessity - NOT the reason for our trip, so we don't put too much thought into the dining stuff.

we managed to get free dining in september, for all star sports

Free dining has offered us substantial savings on past trips. As well, I find because of FD we were able to eat in some of the nicer places. Where as if we were paying OOP I would be like CS everyday and granola bars for breakfast! lol If I were to tally up what we would have paid for character dining OOP instead of under FD I would likely faint.
