Finger scan?

Does Universal require kids to do the finger scan on multi-day tickets? Ds (4yo) is terrified of doing them. Disney never asks him to - they always have me set my finger to his ticket. Just wondered if Universal handles kids the same way.

I believe that Universal will do that too if you request it.

Children do not need a finger scan. You might have to tell them on the first time through the gates with a new ticket or AP.

Wonderful! I hoped they would but wanted to make sure in advance. Now I can look forward to a drama-free entry! I can't wait until he gets over this phobia. Tower of terror - no problem. A finger scan - hysterics. Lol!

DS is 8 and we've been three times since December 2010, and they have NEVER asked him to do the finger scan. So I'm not even sure it'll be an exception; it seems to be the rule.

We just got back and they didn't even ask him to do the finger scan. . Thanks everyone for the info. It was one thing I didn't have to worry about!

(He had a bad, bad case of pneumonia two years ago. He HATED the pulse oxygen thing he had to keep on his finger in the hospital. I think he associates anything on his finger with that. He didn't even like the idea of the lockers at HP that use fingerprints. It's funny what little ones fixate on!)

Disney and Universal require finger scan for adults but not young children. My son is 6 and doesn't have to. Sea World DOES require him to finger scan.
