Then you get Mr. Older and calmer, he gets the two squirmy wormy princess'. :cloud9:

LOL! Yeah, I've always thought some drugs could really help me with getting through the flight, but I hate to think of myself being all drugged up on the plane....you know, in case there is an emergency! :rotfl2: Terrified, yes! But ready to jump into action to save my babies, YES! :rotfl:

I am subbing! :thumbsup2
Welcome on over to these here parts.

Now don't be shy, young lady.

I can see that! Lets hope that we never, ever, EVER have to deal with that kind of issue. Ever! :)

You guessed it! But baby, it warmed up! Today's high is 24. Seriously we went almost 50* over the weekend. It feels like FL.

Well at least I'll keep telling myself that.

24! Wow! That is very nice for January. And almost 50 over the weekend??? Seriously? I swear MN is the only state you can get sunburned and frost bitten in the same week!

When the driver loaded he told Peter that he was in a reserved seat and he’d have to move.

Mr. Crabby driver told me that he’d need to move.

The seat behind the driver remained empty for the entire trip.
We were the last to be dropped off.

The driver earned no tip from princessjv.Forget Mr. Crabby Bus Driver, We were in awe, immediately.

The devil in me would have been tempted to put a sign on the seat as I left that said Reserved for Nobody.

You'd think when his VIP (whoever the seat was supposedly reserved for? Yeah, right.) didn't show up, he'd offer for your son to move back over.

Our last ME bus driver was less than magical, too. Starts things off on a not so pleasant note when they are like that, but at least when we get to our destinations, we can start new from there.

Most of our ME drivers have been anywhere from good to great, but we've had a couple who have left their 'magic' at home.

Anyway, you have arrived! Things can get happier now. :)

You got that right. It feels like a heat way baby!

Ohh... You are like me...

I had to hold my disgruntle'ness and told myself-

I'm in my happy place!

I'm in my happy place!

I'm in my HAPPY Place...

I'm in. And let me say your kids are absolutely adorable!!!!

Thank you so much... For reading and for the compliment. I'm enjoying your report... AND I must admit...

I'm using it as a tool.

TO GET MY WAY.:yay:

I want Hubs to run the Marathon.

So I can go to WDW an extra time.

I'm a brat.

I know. :flower3:

I hope my trip report helps fulfill the dream;) It really is a marathon like no other. Though I'm sure his experience would be completely different from mine because I assume he actually takes running marathons seriously. As you'll see speed and focus are not what Disney racing is about to me:laughing:

YEA! A snow day from school! {it seems like you may have had a lot of those this year. What's up with that?}

How are the kids? I bet that little "baby" boy is growing up!

While there is still snow on the ground here, I can actually see pavement and have had school four days (supposedly we will have some white stuff in the am... I still think we will be going to school).

My kids like yours keep getting bigger. I am not ready for it, even though I can get out of the door a lot quicker than I used to with the three. As for the "baby" I want to freeze him. He is such a fun little boy right now, and sure loves his mama, Handy Manny, Oso and the Toy Story Gang!

Really enjoying your TR and looking forward to more. Your kids are so cute and seem so well behaved.

What's up with that bus driver? Seriously - reserved for what?

Jumping on board.

Laughing at your description of being sandwiched between 2 kids on the flight with your husband on the other side by himself. I can totally relate....except fortunately I am usually always the one by myself on the other side.

Looking forward to hearing all about your trip.:)

I'm working on him! It looks like it was an amazing experience!

Well behaved when they want to be! I think that's how most kids are. It's their learning time and our time to mold them!

Lucky lady! I wish that

I'm joining in!!:yay:

Excited to hear more!
Welcome crazy cate lady! How many cats do you have

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I have not forgotten about this here TR! I had a whopper of a week last week. DH was home from the UK and was able to work from home and not head down to his client. This was great in that I was able to catch up on a million errands with him! There is something about actually having your hubs in the same country/state that helps a girl out... :thumbsup2

Then I was a packing crazing girl! We are heading on yet another vacation at the end of this week. Yes... I feel very fortuneate!! We are going to Mexico to celebrate Hubs b-day... it's a "special" one!

So it meant packing up and getting him out the door with the 2 70lb bags. Yes... I get to travel alone with the kids again folks!

It's my first time heading to another country, alone.

I'm a titch nervous. :upsidedow

Anybody travel with their kids to a foriegn country, without a Hubs traveling with?

Add to the traveling jitters, Tink came down with a terrible virus, with a high fever (104*) and cough.

It seems she {may} have passed it to me! Yikes!

I will get my next installment out asap!

I hope you both feel better soon, that is scary right before a vacation! :scared1: Go away yuck virus, these people need to get to Mexico and stick their toes in the sand!!!!!!

I truly hope you are feeling wonderful for the vacation....ENJOY!!!!!! (and bring back some pics so we can all drool....;))

Stepping off the bus, we were immediately transported to a new culture. I can’t say that it was like nowhere we have ever visited, since we had in fact been to the lodge on a few occasions, for meals. Each time we’ve been on the property we have had this emotional attachment to it. We’ve always felt like we’ve been transported to a place of deep cultural roots, with history full of humanity caring for their world around them.

As we stepped off that ME bus, we were greeted with majestic sounds from a young man drumming. It is at that moment, which I put the crankiness of the driver behind.

I was in MY happy place.

My children were in THEIR happy place.

We were all together. {almost}

It was time to let the magic start. We had {almost} our entire little family unit in one spot in the world.

The kids and I grabbed all of our stowed belongings and headed up the ramp, for the entrance. Tink felt the beat of the drummer and danced her way up and stopped right in front of the young man drumming. She was in awe and she hadn’t even stepped into the lodge yet.

Entering the lodge, we were over come with the faint sounds of Africa. Your eyes go through an immediate adjustment. There are no bright florescent lights in the Lodge. Many who have come before us have complained about the resort lighting. I found it to be in complete check of the ambiance that the Imaginears were imagining. You are in fact transported, in just a few steps to Africa when you step foot inside the lodge. There is no other place I can think of that can make such amazement happen in just steps.

Looking back towards the entrance, in the massive lodge.

As the sliding doors shut behind up, we stepped into our first of many exposures to the many, extra special, resort activities that we would experience in the days to come. A young African woman, with a thick accent was sitting on the floor. Children surrounded her, each with a piece of paper in their hands and a crayon. They were taking impressions from the “fossilized” floor. The girl was explaining to the children what the animal was, that they were taking impressions of. Each animal was different; she explained where they lived, what they looked like and their names.

Tink was immediately sucked in.

Now in our normal life, I never leave my children unattended, anywhere.

Never.

Ever, never!

Yet, when we are in WDW there is this feeling of safety that takes over me. Likely a false sense of security, but none the less I feel safe. My momma guard comes down a titch and I let my kin move from the nest a little further.

I checked with the CM leading the Fossil marking event, asking if it was okay that I left Tink there for a few minutes whilst I checked in. She seemed a bit stumped as to why I was asking. I looked around and noticed that there were no other over protective momma’s hovering over their kin, so I chalked up her puzzled look to likely I was not in the majority with my over protectiveness. Nonetheless, before I headed to the check in desk, I asked Peter to stand guard of my baby Tink. Make sure no one took her and better yet, make sure she behaved to the level of conduct that would make her momma proud.

I told both Tink and Peter that momma was leaving one eye there… just to make sure they behaved.

One eye {less}, I headed to the online check in counter and was greeted by a woman who vowed to make my dreams come true.

Well, maybe not quite like that…

She did however make a few adjustments to my reservation after I asked in my “sweet as pie” voice if there was anyway that we could face the Arusha Savanna – Zebra Trail area.

Before we left for WDW, I researched my heart out trying to gather information on the best place in the AKL for our family. We’d dreamed of staying there and I wanted to do it right! I knew that I would never be guaranteed what location I’d get and to try to not get my hopes up too high on a specific location. I also knew from my reservation that I would be on a Savanna. What I didn’t know for sure was on which Savanna we would be.

So when the CM magically and quickly made some adjustments to my reservation and told me that She did in fact have a room that would fit my desires, I was ecstatic!

Her next words all began blend together. I heard a few bits and pieces about where the room was, and it being pretty far down hall.

A map {might} have been brought out and shown to me, with said location of our new home.

I think that there where some finger pointing to {said} map, showing me where to head next.

It was all a blur. I was in my happy place. I was on cloud nine. I was not listening to a word the sweet CM said.

When the directions were done and I had my welcome packet in hand, I signaled my “one eye left to watch the kids”, and over they came, Tink with smiles and a new rubbing of some sort of fossilized fish, Peter happy that Tink behaved and he did have to open a can of “brotherly love”, and we set off to find our new home away from home.

We walked through the massive lodge, taking in a few of the beautiful things on display... but only quickly, since we were on our way to our new home.

We went down a long hallway, up an elevator and further down another hallway, all in the wrong direction.

But we didn’t know that we were heading to no mans land… that is until we reached the bitter end of the hallway from “you know where”, and our room was nowhere in sight. NO WHERE!

We were lost. Lost, lost, LOST!

Momma got her and her kin lost!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll post more before we leave for Mexico! Hubs is traveling, I'm sick, sick, sick (Thanks to Tink!) and I need to get better... so nap time it is, for me.

I hope my kids don't A. kill each other B. Burn our house C. Make a gigantic mess... whilst I nap. hmm....

Hanging on every typed word, my friend. You have the gift of storytelling, yes you do! My Mr. Tink is sick, too! I hope you get better soon!!

Pore Boo Boo! I hope he feels better. I hate it when our babies are sick!

You can tell him that my remedy is rest and drinking liquids until I pee myself. That might make him smile. :)
